I was told over the phone that I would receive a $100 Visa even if I decided to go with another installer. Well I did decide to have another installer do the job but so far, I have not received anything from American Standard. I did send several messages to the representative, Dave ** asking about this and he did say that I would get the card.

We originally bought the less expensive walk in tub in July 2020 (still cost 14,000.00+). Shortly after installation, the air came on by itself while bathing. It could not be shut off for over 30 seconds (approximately the amount of time it takes to purge after the tub is empty). This happened on several occasions and over the following 3 years, we had several repairmen (supposed employees of American Standard) to fix the tub. They never did. We wrote several letters, called customer service a lot and were treated very rudely (old people who don't know how the tub works, etc.) and they said that the repair people did not repair anything according to their work orders, so we finally gave up for awhile.

Also, one of the installers for AS, Roman, was here and saw the air on the tub come on by itself and said he had never seen that happen with a tub before. He then went outside and made a phone call, came back in and said that was how the tub was supposed to work. Totally incorrect. We also filed a complaint with the BBB and AS responded with untruths about money they supposedly gave us (but never did) and having no record of a problem with the tub, etc., so we kept objecting to their responses. We have voluminous amounts of records and paperwork to back up our claims of terrible customer service.

Finally in November of 2023, we received a call from a field supervisor who came out to look at the tub. He called a few weeks later and on 12/18/23, they installed a new tub to correct the problem. After a few baths, guess what - the air came on by itself and has continued to do so sporadically since the new tub was installed. To our knowledge, no one ever checked the way the tub was wired to see if there was a problem. They never checked the control board either. We have notified them of the problem, but of course, have received no response at all.

They wanted to us to give a good review and close the case with the BBB so they look good and we did that after the new tub was installed. It appears that the tub wants to "purge" while the tub is still full and you are still bathing since you cannot turn off the air until the purge time period has passed. So, we agree with all the comments about bad customer service and will probably take another 3 years to get someone to figure out what the problem really is.

This will be ongoing. We have had the tub 10 days. It didn’t work the first time correctly. These one time it stopped working while using. Customer service IS TERRIBLE. We finally were given a repair date TWO WEEKS after install. THIS for a 20K tub. The whole company sucks. I would like my original bathroom back. I’ll update later.

They were right here when they were trying to sell us the tub which I do like. The installer was great and cleaned up when he was finished. But their customer service after the sale leaves a lot to be desired. What good is having a lifetime warranty if you can't get someone out to fix it. I hope people read these reviews before they buy anything from American Standard. I wish I had!!

We purchased our American Standard Liberation Walk-in tub directly from American Standard. We also purchased the life time warranty and installation by them. The installer and his crew were excellent and exceeded our hopes. When they had completed the install the tub looked beautiful.

The tub itself came with a crack in the handle which the installer said we should wait to report after we had used the tub to be sure it was working as it should.

About two months after install we informed American Standard of a few issues with the tub including the cracked handle, water jets and air jets that do not work as well as the inline heater. It has been 3 weeks today since I have received my handle in the mail and my tub has still not been serviced.

I am sick to death with call customer service and will not nag my poor husband again. Think twice before you pay the price they ask for the life time warranty including parts and labor, you may live long enough to use it

I have been waiting four months now to have two end caps replaced and door handle replaced. All I get are calls and no shows. $15000 piece of junk. If I would have known the problem involved with this tub iI would never have purchased this.

American Sub-Standard installed two showers. I relied upon the brand name assuming a quality product and paid a premium price to get it done properly in a reasonable amount of time. The first attempt took four days.

Had to watch all the time and still there was poor workmanship and installation that took another, additional two days to make the showers fully functional. There are still issues with the work, however, which they have yet to address. Wish I had used someone else.

Bought American Standard tub and commode. Paid way too much. That was my fault. Was told full lifetime warranty. "Even if a light burns out we will be right there." Some jets don’t work. Stinks so bad when you turn on jets. Smells like septic. Drain doesn’t stay open. Commode weak flush.

Called again about 2 weeks ago. Nothing. Great warranty joke. Like I told the salesman only words till you prove it. Probably more problems coming. It was installed 3 months ago. Wish I would have shopped around more.

My main concern before purchasing was having my window seals covered so as not to cause rot. Salesman assured me the installers take care if that. Not only is my window seal not covered my husband, has PD, can not use his tub because water gets into the window seal.

Our check was good...the finished product should have to be as good. I ask for a rep to come see the shoddy work..no one has called or come out.

One of the worst companies! The sales rep comes to your home and gives a wonderful job telling you all the great things about the walk in tub. We bought the tub knowing it is something we need due to health issues my husband and I have.

The crew they sent out to install the tub had no idea what they were doing. A job that we were told would take 3 days took 7 days. The molding around the bottom of the tub was not measured correctly so they tried to cover up their mistakes with caulking.

I am into my second year tying to get a crew back out to correct their mistakes. When they left we were told they would be coming back after they are scheduled. When I called I was told the guys quit. So I have waited and now I am calling every day and complaining.

Also our bidet stopped working. Someone was sent to fix it however it has stopped working for a second time and no one has been sent to repair the toilet. So I am calling every day to try and get someone to fix the molding on the tub and repair the bidet for the second time.
