I have been contemplating putting 15% of my 401K in metals knowing the the weakness and uncertainty in the current economy. I intended to purchase coins from American Hartford Gold. I called on a weekend to find their hours, and was informed they were only available weekdays. Derek called me back on Monday and left his number. I have never met a salesperson that was so understanding of my needs, knowledgeable, and helpful - and I didn’t even buy from him. He learned that I was not intending to invest heavily at the current time, and he recommended other metals dealers (his own competitors!) until I could move from small-time to bulk investment.

In other words, he wasn’t just trying to close a deal like a stereotypical salesman. He actually wanted me to obtain my investment goals, even if it meant he couldn’t benefit from it himself. His service was so good, he made me WISH that I was purchasing in bulk from the company. When my investment portfolio reaches that point, he is the first person I will call. If everybody at American Hartford Gold is as top-tier as Derek, I think people would be stupid NOT to use them for bulk metals purchases.
