Walk-In Bathtub Models

Independent Home provides eight custom-assembled walk-in tub models, each with distinct features. If you’re unsure which model best fits your space and needs, you can schedule an in-home consultation with an Independent Home specialist. They will recommend options tailored to your lifestyle and safety needs, while also taking precise measurements to ensure proper sizing.

The walk-in tub types and dimensions available with Independent Home include:

  • Standard model (30″ W x 52″ L): Most common walk-in tub designed to fit most standard 60-inch long bathtub/shower stalls.
  • Standard slim model (26″ W x 53″ L or 45″ L): Best for older homes with narrow doorways and smaller individuals.
  • Front-loading model (32” W x 38” L): Small tub designed to fit in bathrooms with a small shower stall.
  • Wheelchair access (30” W x 52” L): An accessible tub with an outward swing door to make transfers safer and easier. (Remember, outward doors require a larger bathroom space.)
  • Bariatric model (33″ W or 35” W x 55″ L): Designed for bathers over 250 lbs. Its larger size holds more water and often requires a large hot water tank.

Independent Home Walk-In Tub Prices

Independent Home provides all-inclusive and free quotes—covering walk-in bathtub installation—with no hidden fees. Due to the custom nature of its bathtubs, pricing is not listed online. The company advertises a $1,500 installation discount on its website. Qualified buyers may access financing through multiple credit partners. For the most accurate pricing, Independent Home recommends having a technician inspect your bathroom to determine your requirements.

Walk-in tubs typically range from $2,300 to $25,000, depending on the model, size, selected features, and installation requirements. If you’re a veteran, you may be able to get a home modification or service grant to help pay for a walk-in tub. Non-veterans can also take advantage of state-based programs and other financial assistance from non-profits.

Independent Home Walk-In Tub Warranty

Every Independent Home walk-in tub comes with a lifetime warranty covering key components like the door seal, metal frame, fiberglass spa shell, gel coat finish, workmanship, faucets, motors, pumps, and control panels. You can call its dedicated customer service and warranty support team for help resolving issues as long as you own the tub.

Walk-In Tub Installation

After purchasing your tub, Independent Home dispatches a certified installer to complete the installation. Installers typically have at least five years of experience and an average of 200 completed installations. The team removes your old tub and installs the new walk-in model—often in as little as one day with little remodeling. Installers also provide a tutorial on how to operate the tub’s safety, convenience, and comfort features to ensure peace of mind.

As a factory-direct company, Independent Home backs its sales, installation, and service. Every tub is rigorously tested during construction to guarantee the electrical components and the watertight seal.

Independent Home Walk-In Tub Complaints

On ConsumerAffairs, Independent Home maintains a 4.5-star rating. Satisfied customers often highlight attentive follow-ups from sales agents and quick, accurate pricing.

It is true... It is a great product with a great company. We have had the tub for a few years and had a minor issue with a piece of chrome. They were on the spot to fix it. Their warranty is good and so is their word. We then decided to upgrade with the beautiful shower doors. I would recommend this company. They are a rare find.

Don’t believe all the hype about lifetime warranties. I had to have my grab bars replaced 3 times cause the chrome was coming off, same with the door handle. And the tub drain also. When I called they told me they would only cover the parts not the labor. Leaving me to get a plumber at my expense. Also ask how much water it takes to fill it up. You better have a 50 gallon tank or better otherwise you’ll run out of hot water.
