Our Experience Using ELEHEAR Hearing Aids
We tested ELEHEAR hearing aids to evaluate quality, ease of use, sound quality, battery life, size, connectivity, adjustments, functionality, and tinnitus management. See our full breakdown of the Beyond, Beyond Pro, and Delight models below.
ELEHEAR Beyond
We tested the ELEHEAR Beyond hearing aids, priced at $399.99, including a one-year warranty and a 45-day return option. The build quality felt solid, with a lightweight design and a large, durable plastic case featuring handy LED indicators that show the charge level. We were impressed by the battery life, which lasted over 20 hours per charge, and by the case itself, which can recharge the hearing aids 7 times.
The ELEHEAR app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It provides step-by-step instructions for pairing the devices and information on what to expect during the first week of use. The app is easy to navigate, offering four preset modes: General, Restaurant, Outdoor, and TV.
We liked that we could adjust each mode for different levels of hearing loss (Mild to Moderate II), though the differences between them weren’t very noticeable. There’s also a Noise Reduction feature and a Speech Focus setting for amplification and clearer conversations, which worked well in quiet settings but could be a bit overwhelming in noisier places.
In terms of sound quality, ELEHEAR Beyond hearing aids offer basic clarity—nothing fancy but adequate. The sound can sometimes be harsh, especially for low-level noises like fans, which came through as a hissing sound. It doesn’t offer options to tweak bass, treble, or other sound settings, but it does include a Sound Therapy feature that provides basic equalizer adjustments.
The ELEHEAR Beyond is a solid, affordable choice for someone new to hearing aids. The easy setup, app-based controls, and strong battery life make it practical for everyday use, even if it lacks some of the refinements of pricier models.
ELEHEAR Beyond Pro
If you’re a fan of the ELEHEAR Beyond, the ELEHEAR Beyond Pro is the upgraded version of the Beyond model. While priced higher, it comes with powerful, advanced customization and connectivity features. It’s designed for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss and includes Bluetooth streaming, app-based fine-tuning, and expanded sound controls. The lightweight design is discreet, and it comes with a rechargeable case that supports multiple full charges.
Battery life is up to 20 hours in a single charge (depending on streaming usage). The portable charging case provides several additional recharges, making it suitable for all-day wear and travel. The ELEHEAR app is available for both iPhone and Android devices. Setup is done completely through the app, which walks users through pairing and self-fitting adjustments.
There are multiple listening modes, such as General, Restaurant, Outdoor, and TV, along with adjustable background noise reduction and speech enhancement controls. Compared to the base Beyond model, the Beyond Pro includes a Bluetooth connection for phone calls, music streaming, and media playback, as well as more flexible sound personalization. Users can adjust volume, switch programs, and access sound therapy features directly from the app.
Overall, the ELEHEAR Beyond Pro is positioned as a step up from the Beyond in ELEHEAR’s lineup. It offers stronger connectivity and customization than entry-level OTC models, but remains more affordable than traditional prescription hearing aids.
ELEHEAR Delight
The ELEHEAR Delight is one of the newest additions to the ELEHEAR lineup. It will appeal to users who prefer a modern style hearing aid. Unlike the Beyond and Beyond Pro RIC style, the Delight is modeled like popular earbuds and sits fully in the ear. This low-profile look blends in with everyday wireless earbuds. It’s created for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss and focuses on comfort, convenience, and simple sound personalization.
The Delight features a rechargeable design with a compact charging case smaller than other ELEHEAR models. It offers up to 13.5 hours of battery life on a full charge (depending on usage).
Like other ELEHEAR devices, setup and adjustments are done through the ELEHEAR app, which guides you through the initial fitting process and allows for ongoing customizations as your hearing loss changes. Users can also switch between preset listening environments and other controls, and use Bluetooth connectivity from a smartphone.
The ELEHEAR Delight is a more lifestyle-focused option. It prioritizes a discreet design that blends in with those wearing earbuds, while the user-friendly design and core features still deliver.
Elehear Hearing Aids For Seniors? Our Verdict
ELEHEAR is best for traveling and on-the-go seniors who want an affordable solution for mild hearing loss. The extra-long battery life is not only convenient, but also vital for powering your hearing aids during power outages and vacations.
If you struggle with technology, expect a small learning curve for using the app. But it’s worth learning, as being able to personalize your settings across different environments, like restaurants or outdoor events, will undoubtedly improve your quality of life.

Like most OTC hearing aid companies on our list, ELEHEAR offers free shipping. Delivery usually takes around six business days.

How to Buy Hearing Aids from ELEHEAR
ELEHEAR’s over-the-counter business model makes choosing and buying the right hearing aid or amplifier easy:
1. Take a Hearing Test
Before buying an OTC hearing aid, we recommend taking a hearing test to determine whether you have a hearing impairment and the type of sounds you have trouble hearing. This will help narrow down your hearing aid choices.
You can take a comprehensive professional hearing test, usually performed by an audiologist, or a quick online hearing test, available with most OTC brands. Our team took ELEhear’s online test in just three minutes.
2. Choose Your Hearing Aid
ELEHEAR’s website clearly displays the prices, features, and benefits of each device. Simply choose a high-quality hearing instrument and proceed to checkout.
While some companies employ specialists who can recommend specific products according to your needs, ELEHEAR does not—you’ll have to shop the website and choose the product yourself. For those comfortable with online shopping and DIY programming, ELEHEAR simplifies what could otherwise be a longer, more involved process. But if you want one-on-one support and specialist recommendations, consider MDHearing or Eargo.
3. Get Your Hearing Aids Shipped To Your Door
ELEHEAR will ship your hearing aids for free, and most customers receive their devices within four to six business days.
4. Program Your Instrument
ELEHEAR setup is fairly easy—simply charge it, insert it into your ear, and set the device volume to the appropriate level. If you need help setting up your hearing device, ELEHEAR representatives are available via telephone, email, and chat.
How To Adjust ELEHEAR Devices
To adjust ELEHEAR OTC devices, you can use the app or the device’s button. Our reviews team found it just as easy to adjust via the free app as it was to manually press a button on the back of the device.

Within the app, ELEHEAR allows you to personalize your hearing experience by adjusting volume and other settings for specific listening situations: general, restaurant, outdoor, and TV. However, it takes about 4 seconds for the hearing aid to adjust to your requests, during which it will cut out all sound.
You can also adjust the high, mid, and low tones more precisely to suit your hearing preferences. Connecting your smartphone’s microphone to the device will enable it to act as a microphone and transmit sound directly to your ELEHEAR hearing aids.
One minor drawback for iPhone users is that ELEHER devices are not MFi (Made for iPhone) certified. This means that you can not use these hearing aids with your iPhone’s accessibility features—the streamlined process Apple uses to connect your devices to your smartphone, so you can stream audio (phone calls, videos, music) and adjust your settings directly from your iPhone.
The Bluetooth capabilities easily compensate for this, but should ELEHEAR transition to MFi devices in the future, we’re confident the company would become an even bigger player in the OTC hearing aid market.
ELEHEAR Complaints
ELEHEAR is a popular OTC hearing aid company. HearAdvisor gives it an “A” sound grade, while Hearing Tracker rates it a 4.4 out of 5 and says it’s in the top 20 percent of products they’ve reviewed. At the time of publishing, more than 188 customers have left reviews on the ELEHEAR website, and the Beyond Pro has a 4.8-star rating.
The company does not have a Trustpilot profile or Better Business Bureau page.
ELEHEAR FAQs
ELEHEAR provides a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. The contract covers manufacturer defects, but it does not protect against misuse, loss, or theft.
Hearing aids from ELEHEAR are best for those with mild to moderate hearing loss. Its products are thousands of dollars less expensive than competitors’ devices, but OTC hearing aids offer fewer advanced features. For example, we found its environmental settings lacking in programming capabilities. Therefore, these devices would suit customers who are just starting to explore hearing aids or want an affordable option for everyday listening.
While some online retailers also have brick-and-mortar clinics customers can visit, ELEHEAR devices are only available for purchase on its website.
Conclusion
If you think you might have hearing loss, ELEHEAR offers affordable (albeit slightly less precise) alternatives to self-fitting OTC aids. On-the-go seniors will also appreciate its impressive battery life, Bluetooth capabilities, and in-app adjustments.
