Bruno Stairlift Models

All Bruno stairlift models feature a chair attached to a rail that is secured on the stairs. When the rocker switch on the chair’s armrest is pushed, the chair lift travels up and down the steps. Bruno straight stairlifts use a vertical anodized aluminum rail. Bruno curved stairlifts feature a custom-made, vertical e-coated steel rail for stability and a precise fit.

For details about how stairlifts work, see our Best Stairlifts Buyer’s Guide.

Bruno stairlifts

Bruno stairlifts are powered by two twelve-volt batteries, allowing the stairlift to operate in a power outage. While in a parked position at the end of the rail, Bruno curved stairlifts are automatically recharging their batteries. Bruno straight stairlift models were the first in the industry to feature charge strips along the entire rail, which enable the unit’s batteries to constantly charge no matter where the unit is parked.

All Bruno stairlift models are equipped with standard safety features, including obstruction sensors that stop the lift if the chair hits an object on the steps and a seat belt to secure the user in place.

Bruno Stairlifts Costs and Warranty

Bruno straight stairlifts have a limited lifetime warranty. Curved and outdoor models come with a comprehensive five-year limited warranty on components and a two-year warranty on parts. However, you may get additional warranty coverage through the authorized Bruno dealer or installer.

The cost of a Bruno stairlift varies depending on the custom configuration and dealer. The price depends on the model, the rail length, upgrades, and state permitting requirements (businesses). Straight stairlifts from Bruno, such as the Elan stair lift, typically start at around $4,000, while custom curved models start at $11,000.

The average labor cost for installation is $70 per hour, and the cost of electrical work is approximately $300. Call your local government office to discuss building permits.

How Bruno Stairlifts are Installed

Bruno dealers are factory-trained to ensure proper installation of your lift. It takes an average of two to three hours to install a straight stairlift. A curved stairlift takes longer to install based on the complexity of the curves and the length of the stairlift rail.

Stairlift installation should always be completed by a licensed professional to prevent damaging your home or the stairlift. Additionally, having a professional handle installation prevents your warranty from being voided.  Bruno works with North America’s largest network of expert local dealers to ensure your lifts are handled by trustworthy and knowledgeable technicians.

Where to Buy Bruno Stairlifts

You can buy Bruno stairlifts from an authorized dealer in your community. Popular vendors include Lifeway Mobility and 101 Mobility. To find an authorized dealer in the United States or Canada, visit Bruno’s website.

If you need to find a Bruno Stairlift dealer outside of North America, there’s a form you can complete and submit on the website. You can also request a free quote on the Bruno website.

Bruno Stairlifts FAQs

Can I install a Bruno stairlift myself?

Only authorized dealers and technicians can install Bruno stairlifts. There are no DIY options available at this time.

Does insurance cover some of the costs for Bruno Stairlifts?

Most health insurance plans don’t cover the full cost of buying and installing stairlifts, and Medicare provides no coverage. See “How to Pay for Aging in Place Home Remodeling” for tips on making a stairlift affordable, and ask your Bruno dealer about financing options.

Can you order Bruno stairlifts online?

New Bruno stairlifts must be purchased and installed by a local authorized Bruno dealer. Most Bruno dealers will not install a stairlift that was not purchased from them, so ordering one online is not recommended. In addition, by using a dealer, a trained specialist can properly measure the steps and determine if any options are needed to customize the stairlift based on the individual user’s capabilities.

Are Bruno stairlifts permanent?

No, because Bruno does not permanently attach the lift to your flight of stairs, you can easily remove the stairlift once it’s no longer needed in your home.

Will Bruno stairlifts work in a power outage?

Bruno models are battery-powered and continually charged via a wall outlet. If the power goes out, the stairlift will pull from the battery power for an additional number of rides.

Which stairlift is better, Acorn or Bruno?

Bruno stairlifts offer a higher weight capacity, a better warranty, and superior customization, making them a prime choice for many homeowners. Acorn stairlifts, however, are more budget-friendly and quicker to install, making them a good option for seniors and homeowners who don’t require extensive customization.

Conclusion

When you’re in the market for mobility equipment, such as a stairlift, it’s essential to choose the highest-quality and safest product possible. Bruno Independent Living Aids has been in business for more than 35 years, stands by its products, manufactures all its lifts in the United States, and carries leading industry certifications for safety. I had a friend encourage me to get a stairlift because she worries about me climbing the stairs. I went with the Bruno because I was impressed with what I saw on the internet about how it performs. The salesperson did a very good job. They had a display in their showroom where I could try it out and see which one I wanted. I got the top of the line because one of the stairs is right in front of a doorway to the living room. So, I like that I can fold up that bottom part of the rail so that you don't have anybody tripping over it going through the doorway.

There's an issue when I get to the top of the stairs and I put so that it's sideways and the foot thing comes up. When I start it again, it won't move. So, I think it's a little loose in the twisting part of it. I was going to call them and have their technician come over and try and figure out what happened. I do like the two remotes because I can leave one upstairs or downstairs.

Overall, having the stairlift made me feel a whole lot safer. One of the things that the rep told me after he got all installed was not to put any weight on the foot thing that I put my feet on. I have to somehow put my feet on the floor and scoot it, but it can be very awkward with having Parkinson's. So, an improvement would be if they could make it so you could put weight on the thing that you'd have your feet rest on. Mine does turn when you get to the top of the stairs and get the one where I have to manually do it. I have to lift my feet up as it turns. My feet are kind of dangling until I get turned around to be able to stand up.

There's a footrest that you put your feet on to go up but then, when you get to the top of the stairs and it turns to the side, the footrest stays on the stairs where you stop and it twists to the side so the footrest is left behind. You have to hold your feet up as it turns for you to stand on the floor. But when I get on it, the footrest is in the way to sit down. An improvement would be if I could sit down on the seat and then push the button for the footrest to go down because I'm at risk of tripping just trying to get on it sometimes at the bottom. At the top, it's not an issue because the footrest doesn't come up to the top. It stays on the staircase, and it beeps until I close it back so it's not in the way for somebody to come up the stairs, which I think is a good reminder. I like that it beeps.

I was thinking I could be able to put my laundry in my lap and go up the stairs, but it doesn't quite fit when I put it in my lap because the staircase isn't wide enough for me to do that. So, I got to put it way on top of the armrest and stuff to go up. My staircase isn't very wide and they measured it and they said it would fit. I thought the rail would be a little closer to the wall than what it is. So, they have to allow for the movement of the seat.

My father currently is a veteran who has ALS, so the VA suggested that we get a stairlift. We have one at the front door, which it's from the front to the first floor. It's a rancher. It's about five steps. Then we have another one from the first floor to the basement area, which is the finished basement, and that is a four-turner.

The first steps is about four steps to the first landing and it makes a right turn, then it goes down three more steps, and then it's another right turn, then it goes down four steps, and then it's another right turn and that right turn is on the floor. It was custom-built and the way it was built, everyone can comfortably go down.

If my dad has to take any equipment down, the equipment can fit in his lap. It gives him mobility to function in daily living.

I like the safety because it beeps when it's not in its proper form. We have a toddler as well as infants. So it helps us to know when it's not where it's supposed to be at. We also like that it does a nice swivel to exit out of it, especially for when it's at the top. And it allows you to fold up the foot bar, the seat, and the armrest just in case you don't want to use it. Whoever wants to walk down the steps are able to walk up and down, and go past it.

My dad purchased the Bruno stair lift for me for my Christmas gift. The salesperson was a very nice guy. We talked to him at the sales location and then also at our house. It was just he would forget things or say things that were wrong. He didn't measure correctly. He said we could keep a door in the basement, but when the installers came, they were like, “Obviously, we cannot keep this.” My husband was doing demo while they were installing and had to redo the drywall. So, there was a disconnect there. And after he left, he forgot the measurements and then had my husband remeasure because he didn't write them down, and was talking a lot about his personal life and not a lot about the actual stair lift. Again, he was a very nice guy but not really on track for what he came to do.

The contract they sent was dated for five months ago, and I kept having them correct the contract a few times because there were typos and errors and things wrong in it. When the installers came, they weren't surprised that the measurements were wrong. They had to go back and get different parts because it was so far off. They had to come back another day. They were amazing. They took everything in stride. They didn't get upset or frustrated. They were patient to explain to my husband what to do as far as taking out the door and the frame and the drywall so that they could get the chair to fit and so that they could slide the track against the wall.

They asked us different options, if we wanted it further out from the wall or close against the wall. They really worked with us through the process to get it how we wanted. Both of them were very kind and knowledgeable. They made sure everything was very safe and to our liking. We got to test it out. It's functioning beautifully.

The stair lift has been really great. We've lived in this house for almost eight years, and it is my first time going in the basement. So, it's like I've doubled my living space. Our older girls lived down there, and they have since moved out into homes of their own. So, we're repurposing that area for homeschooling my youngest as a retired teacher. I'm homebound and I can't drive. I feel like I'm going to town or something when I go downstairs. It's really been life-changing in a good way. As a proactive feedback, the company should stay a little more on track and focus and make sure the measurements are getting written down, and maybe check with installers to make sure what they're saying is accurate. We're still, overall, happy with the whole process.

When the sales guy came out, he looked at the area where we were going to have the lift, and he made a recommendation on the fact that I'm a large fellow, that he would upgrade it to the 400-pound capacity Bruno. He asked us. He didn't force anything on us. He wasn't a "take it or leave it" guy. He was a very good salesman. He measured everything. He took what it would take to do it and gave us a price. We agreed to the price and paid the downpayment and continued on with the rest. We've been thoroughly happy with the product. The installation took four hours at the most. They went over and over with us how to operate it. The product has extremely good quality from what I can tell. The seat mechanism and the pivot unit look like top quality stuff.

Bruno's representative was great. With the measuring and the way he had it set up, it's great. I like it. When the stairlift turns, it turns out to the opening in the hallway. I have one leg. So, for me to get on it or if I have my prosthesis on it, I turn it that way so I can sit down, and then I can turn. The doorway is a little bit tight for it, but I have to move my leg and I'm okay. I turn on the seat, and then we just go all the way down the bottom. And when I get down to the bottom, I got a walker that I get on to. I walk with it. So, it works out great and there's plenty of room for it. My wife gets by it when the chair is up to the top and she still gets by and goes down. It also works good for her to put the laundry on.

We were looking at it to put it on one side when if you go down the stairs, the wall is solid on the right-hand side with a railing and the left-hand side goes down partway, and then it's open. But the problem being is, when you get to the bottom, if you had it on the left-hand side and if you turn the seat sideways so I can step off, there's a doorway. So, I'd be walking right into a door. We put it on the right-hand side where the railing is, which worked out great. We put it there, and then it splits up. So, you can pick part of it up and open the door and go into the laundry room and everything else.

The stairlift helps because my basement is finished and we have two little girls that we have custody of. If the girls want to go down and play in the basement and if my wife goes out somewhere, I can't go down to watch them before. So now, I can go downstairs and watch them and everything else and make sure they're okay, which they are anyways. They're 10 and 11, so they're okay. But a lot of times, if they want to go down or if they want me to help play with them or do something, now, I can go down. I can move up and down now. Plus, in the laundry room area, we have a water purifier system because we have hard water. We got well water. There's a tank that we have to put salt in every so often. It's 40-pound bags and my wife was having a hard time lifting it because the tank sits up probably about a good four and a half feet. So now, I can get over and help her lift the bags to put it in.

I and everybody else that's seen the Bruno stairlift are quite amazed. Some people said they saw other ones and it was awful. It was in the way. Bruno is unique where you would think that putting something below the handrail would be a problem. But in reality, you never walk in that area. So, it's totally out of the way. Also, it's faster than I thought. A lot of people always would say that they're so slow. The ride is smooth and enjoyable. It's our interior roller coaster. We love it. Overall, it changed a two-story house to a one-story. If you want the best, get a Bruno.

I love the Bruno stairlift. I needed a stairlift because I've got arthritis so bad and we always liked to buy our stuff from Home Medical Equipment because they're good, honest, and decent people. So, we went over there because I've been over there before to buy a walker and they had a nice display set up there. I've always noticed that display. So when it came time to when I was literally forced to buy a stairlift so I could get upstairs, we just went over there to see how much they were and what they were and look at them. There was a nice lady there and she showed us to them. We had looked online too to get some information.

We priced one out. We know they do a good job of installing stuff because, when my wife had problems, we had a ramp installed by them. The fact that it was Bruno really didn't enter much into the picture because we knew they only sold good stuff and we bought at the dealership. The stairlift worked perfectly ever since. It is a lifesaver for my legs. I have severe arthritis. I'm almost 76 and I make excuses now to go upstairs, change the laundry, water my violets or take a nap on the bed. It does exactly what I wanted it to do.

My mother is utilizing the Bruno stairlift and appreciates it very much. I think it's well made. It's good because, with my mother's age, I'm glad she's figured it out. She wanted to try it when someone was there to guide her through it. And then, after a few tries, she does it on her own. Overall, everything works fine and it's a nice look. The stairlift does the job.

Our Bruno stairlift is functioning well. It has made our lives a lot easier, especially going upstairs to the bathroom to take a shower. The only thing is on the one going upstairs, they did not do the folded one. The metal is extended to the floor. So, there's a tendency for somebody to trip. On the other one going down the basement, it has a folded metal thing. Other than that, the stairlift has really been a lifesaver.

I'm 77 and I've had a couple of issues in the last few years where having a chair would have been helpful. Right now, I don't need it, but I put it in as an insurance policy. Everybody I talked to at Bruno was very positive and I have good things to say about them. I got a straight indoor stairlift installed. The installer was fantastic. He came twice and, both times, he was on time within a minute, which is unusual, and he was very friendly and very expert.

I've only used the stairlift three times and I like that if I have a 50-pound bag of salt or something that has to go downstairs, I can put it on the chair and send it down and then go down and get it. So far, the quality of the stairlift superb. I recommend the product totally. I've only used it three times, but I have faith that if I use it in the future, it will be a good deal for me.

It became difficult to carry my dad up and down the steps all day, so we decided that it was time to purchase a stairlift for him. Bruno was highly recommended by the Veterans Administration. The installers were very respectful. I have a one-year-old daughter who slept through the entire time they put together the stairlift. They were very quiet about their business. We even joked about a couple of things while we were here. They were very friendly. They were a great team of guys. They explained to me and my father how to use the stairlift perfectly. They were here for maybe an hour, and they had to install it on two landings. They worked swiftly. My dad's experience with the stairlift has been great. He loves that once he gets to the top of the stairway, he can swivel the chair to get out. The stairlift has exceeded my expectations.

I was looking around for a stairlift and between conversations with my nephew-in-law, he looked things up and Bruno has a very high rating. I did talk with one other person who I was considering getting. It would have been for a lesser price, but I like Bruno better. The sales rep gave me literature. He explained things. He answered any questions I had. One of the things that I liked about them was their lifetime warranty. I'm very satisfied with my dealings with them.

I had the stairlift installed a week before Thanksgiving. I wanted to surprise my children that I had it because they've been after me for a while because they think their aged mom needed it. I found out that it really made my knees feel a lot better to the point that I am going to figure out a way to get one into my basement so I could stay independent as possible for as long as possible. Everything worked fine.

Early on, I had a problem with it stopping. I know it would do this if there was an obstruction on the steps, but there wasn't. All I did was back up a little, and then it went right back up. The serviceman was here on Friday but for the previous week, I had three more of those episodes, and it was all at the same location, except for one. Of the four episodes thus far, three had been at the second post from the bottom in that area. The last one was on the top at the third post. He said there was a separation in the track. But the thing about it is, I could always get it going if I backed up. The one at the bottom, there are three distinct bumps. So, he fixed it on Friday afternoon. He left about 4 o'clock and that evening, I didn't go back upstairs until I went to bed, and it did it again. Then it was okay. Yesterday, it did it coming down. It never did it before, coming down. I've only come downstairs so far today. I haven't been back up yet.

I'm going to let it go over the weekend and see how it does. I will call on Monday and check with him. The thing about it is prompt service. I can recognize that in such things as a track, there could be a problem that would cause this problem. It's still functioning. It's a little disheartening, but I'm understanding. The serviceman is a very nice, young man. He's a boy scout leader. He's good.

I would recommend Bruno. I know if anything goes wrong, it will be taken care of. In fact, I don't know what else I would get when I get something else to go into my basement. I would want to do another Bruno. I understand that there are things that can happen to the best products and if it didn't work at all, that would be an alarm to me, but it does work. I can understand where there could be problems in the track. Max, the serviceman, said, “You have to look at this as something like the train tracks and how train sound going over.” They have their little glitches between hookups too.

My wife is 87 and I'm 88. We're not doing too bad, but right now, the legs and back are hurting. So, we thought we would go with a stairlift. The installers were here in a timely manner. They did a fine job of installing it.

The only thing that we're really not happy with is the speed. It goes too slow and the ride is kind of rough. I first thought that it bounces so smooth like I expected it to be.

My washer and dryer are downstairs. So, it was easier and cheaper to get a stair lift than to think about adding on a utility room and giving up the space for a washer and dryer upstairs. I had worked with Cedar Valley Mobility and Rob before, and Bruno was the brand that they sold. So, I went with that. I was amazed at how quickly they had the stairlift installed, but it was straightforward.

I would not want the stair lift there if I had to move furniture up and down, but I know they can take it out. It took about a half hour and put it in. It works great for me. Most of the time, I can put something on my lap and take it up and down with me. If not, I can put it on the chair and transport it and slowly take my time going up or down. Overall, it’s been a great help. I've been very satisfied with it.

I'm happy with our Bruno stairlift. It's great. We love it. If there's a problem and I call, the reps from Bruno come out as soon as they can and try to get it fixed for us. The guys that do this work are fabulous. I love them. A couple of them have been here. We've had that Bruno chair for a couple of years, and they were the ones that installed the first chair. So, whenever we've had a problem, they've always come back.

Our house has steps that go up. There are eight steps, then you get to a landing, and then you go around the bend and there are eight more steps. So, the stairlift comes around and comes up the first flight of steps, and then goes around and comes up to the top of the stairs there. My husband's not able to go up and down steps. He has leg problems and he can't get up. If we didn't have the chairlift, it would not be very good.

Bruno did a very professional job. It didn't take them long to put the stairlift in. They came in, went to work, cleaned up by themselves, and went on about their business. I got a straight stairlift and it fits great into my home. It helps me go up and down the steps. I have a sensor on here. If you're going down the steps, sometimes if your legs are not in the right place, it stops.

A nice, young gentleman from Bruno came out and he helped me out quite a bit. I needed to get the installation done as quickly as possible and he worked with the schedulers to get it in by the end of the week for me. The stairlift takes up some space on a narrow stairway, but it does the job of getting my wife up and down so she can get in and out of our house because that's the only way in. We have to do stairs to get in our house. The quality of it seems to be pretty solid. It works really well.

My husband has Parkinson's. He is a veteran at the VA and they told me that a stairlift is what I need to get him up and down the steps because he was a fall risk. We got a Bruno stairlift. The sales representative who came out was a very nice gentleman. He did the measurements and told me exactly how it was going to work. It went very quickly and he said, in a couple of weeks, the company was coming out to install it.

Two weeks later, they called, gave me the arrival date, and came out on time. As a matter of fact, they were maybe 20 minutes early. It took them less than two hours to set the stairlift up, and they showed me how to use it, what chemicals to use on it, and what not to use on it. It was the whole nine yards. It was wonderful.

The stairlift works very smoothly. It's at a pace that, when my husband was using it, he didn't feel jerky or he was going to fall out. They had a seatbelt on it. So he knew how to swing it in and secure it and get out of the chair. I'm usually at the top with him because he is a fall risk. I'm with him when he's using the stairlift, coming down with him and at the bottom because we have two more steps down and he can manage those. So, it's not a problem at all.

Bruno was very thorough, very conscientious, and knowledgeable, wiping off fingerprints that they might have gotten on the seat of the stairlift. So far, so good. The functionality of the stairlift is great. It does what it's supposed to do and it's not loud. My mother loves it. She's so thrilled that they were able to come and put it in so quickly and in time for her surgery. So, it's worked out perfectly.

I am incapable of carrying groceries upstairs and trash downstairs because I live on the second floor. I decided to get a stairlift and went with Bruno. I felt it was a better quality unit and it's made in North America. I don't want a British or foreign device. I contacted Bruno and we discussed it on the phone, and I sent them pictures of the installation, and then they came to inspect the stairs.

The installation went smoothly as silk. The installer was from a nearby town who knew what he was doing. He came with the correct instruments and tools at the appointed time and did an excellent job. The stairlift is straight up and down. It seems a quality product. I'm a big guy and I carry a big load, so it's able to take me without a problem up and down. Its price was what I expected. It’s what I knew was going to happen. It’s more than I can afford, but that's all right. It serves the purpose. It's going to keep me alive and allow me to remain at home.

The Bruno stairlift has been great for us. We have two landing stairs, and they set it up so that there are no problems whatsoever. We have a 42-inch stairway. So, it gives plenty of room to get up and down. The stairlift has been a game-changer for my wife. She couldn't get up and down the steps anymore. Sometimes she'd have to go up on her hands and knees to get up, depending on what was happening. So, it really made things a lot easier for her.

Our Bruno stairlift is very compact. You can come down on the side of it very easily. It's better when you put the seat up and the footrest up. But even with it down, people could come up and down beside it. The performance is excellent. It has made our lives so much easier. My husband has very bad medical problems, so he can hardly breathe. We have 14 steps to go up and down every day, so it has very much helped him. Once I have my knee replaced, then I probably won't be using it as much but right now, I couldn't live without it.

I really enjoy the chairlift from Bruno. It's very nice and it's working out fine with me. When we said, "We wanted it," the guy who came and told us about the chairlift came back and helped the guy install it with him. Life is easier for me now that I have the chairlift.

I like the Bruno stairlift. I had a hard time going up and down the steps, and since we have had the stairlift, it's easier to go up and down. We've got the straight one. Bruno's lady rep was nice, and the installers did a good job.

I like Bruno's products. Their sales reps were friendly and answered all our questions. Installation went well. The guys knew what they were doing, they did it quickly and efficiently, and they explained everything to us and showed us everything. I'm hoping the stairlift lasts. I hope it lives up to what it's supposed to do.

A stair lift is a necessity for me. I got four quotes, and Bruno was the cheapest one available. The stair lift helps me get up and down the stairs. It performs very well. It goes up and down very nicely. It seems to be very sturdy. It changed my life a lot. It's much easier to get up and down the stairs. I can now take a shower every day and get to my bedroom. So, I'm very appreciative.

Bruno came in, showed me the pamphlets, how everything was gonna be, and showed us a video. I wasn't at the house at the time of the installation, but my parents said it was very fast and very efficient. Everything went well. They explained everything in detail during the initial encounter, so I knew how it was exactly gonna be. We got a straight up and down stair lift. It is easy to use and sturdy. It’s of good quality. I’d recommend it. Our experience was very easy and straightforward.

The installation of our Bruno stairlift was good, quick, and easy. Sandra loves the stairlift. We have a two-story and she refused to take the main floor and she's very disabled as far as walking, and it's been working fantastically. We had to have them come out one time because it wouldn't go. We had to shake to get it going, but they came right out and fixed it immediately. Bruno was fantastic and very professional. They kept in touch with us because we had purchased it a month before our move and reminded us, set up the time, and showed up right on time. It was really nice. We also got a scooter from the same people.

I got a Bruno stairlift and had very pleasant young men come here to do the work. I was pleased with what they did. I was very pleased and the interaction between them was great. I had two different people at different times here. It was a nice experience. As far as the stairlift, you sit on the chair. You hold the right-hand lever to go up and down, and turn it off and on. It travels down or up very slowly. It seems to me to be excessively slow, and fortunately, I'm not in a hurry. I close my eyes and just enjoy the ride. It's sturdy. I think it would take another 50 pounds besides me with no problem. It's worked out well. I am pleased with it.

The stairlift makes it a lot quicker for me to go up and down the steps, and I can carry something in my lap, which is a nice thing. You put your groceries or laundry on your lap and carry it up that way. You can put things on your lap as long as it's not too big. If it's too big, it will bump into the molding on the door frame. I have a door frame at one end, which has complicated matters for the installation, but it was nothing insurmountable. It's been taken care of. The gentleman that did the work here explained everything to me very thoroughly and did a beautiful job installing it. I used my dad's stairlift. My Bruno is modernized. This one takes up less room on the staircases. The base structure is further back on the side of the steps than the other one was.

I have a scooter that the VA gave me. Then they contacted Bruno, and some gentleman came out and attached the lift to my Suburban. The lift works great. It picks the scooter up off the street and puts it up in the air so I can drive my car. I'm able to take my scooter wherever I go.

I would recommend Bruno highly. It seems to be a good quality for the products. I looked online at some individual companies and then went to our local dealer and he strongly recommended Bruno. The seat was facing the wrong way on the initial shipment. So, it was delayed. But the day they came, it was an easy four-hour install. The stairlift allows us to stay in the house a lot longer. My wife and I are both at the age where this is more of a precaution. We don't need it right now, but we're looking ahead. If either one of us fell and had mobility problems, it would allow us to get up and down the stairs. We did a couple of test rides. The quality looks good. I'm sure it's going to meet our needs.

The Bruno stairlift is wonderful. The reps were great. They also installed an inside stairlift, and we knew Ray. He was excellent. He knew what he was doing, and he got the whole thing installed by himself. He was able to do it in a couple of hours. The Bruno is an excellent product. It works very well.

I have a problem when I'm walking. So, the Bruno lift helped me. It's hooked onto the back of my vehicle. And then when I get somewhere, I don't have to go inside and see if they have a wheelchair. The lift is functioning well as long as I treat it like I'm supposed to treat it and make sure I don't forget the directions it had on. So, it's good. It came in handy the other day.

Fast talking salesman. Very unhappy. The installer didn’t explain how to use the stairlift. I felt very pushed into signing the contract. That day They have already come out to do a one service visit in the first 30 days. The repairman said, "I have to service this twice a year for it to run properly." This was not explained during the sales presentation. I don’t see well and I don’t have any family to help. I feel this company took advantage of me.

Things went well with Bruno. My wife has trouble going up and down steps. And as we get older, she feels she'll be needing the stairlift more than she does now. We had a good idea of the stairlift before we met the sales rep. Our daughter did some research on it and came up with Bruno. The installer was here for a while and we talked to him as he was installing it and he was very cooperative and did a good job. We got an indoor straight stairlift. The quality seems good. I can use it to bring the bags of groceries from the garage up to the top of the steps. That's been handy doing that. My wife uses it to go up and down the steps on a regular basis.

When we bought the house three years ago, it had a chairlift in it and that was an old one and it wore out and it had the tag of the company that put it in. So we called them and they said we needed a new one. They had Bruno, so that's what we put in. It works well. I don't use it that often, but my wife uses it all the time going up and down. We've only had it for a few weeks. And in the time we've had it, we've been very satisfied and it worked perfectly. The people who put it in were very courteous and explained everything to us. To me, it seems sturdy. This is 100% better than our old one.

We had a chairlift that was over 20 years old. We got it when my mother-in-law was living with us. Somebody wanted to come out and check it and I said no. We weren't using it. Now, both my husband and I are having trouble with our legs. When I tried to use it, it would come up, but it would not go down. My son bought the Bruno chairlift for me because he wanted me to have it now. The installers were great. I like the new stairlift. My washer and dryer are in the basement. I couldn't go anywhere if we didn't have that.

I got a Bruno lift in my truck. It picks up my wheelchair. It's torn up, though. I used it about three times and it won't swivel back and forth. So, I'm supposed to send it in with my son in the morning and they're supposed to look at it tomorrow. It was good when it was functioning. I'm not happy with it now, but the people who put it in told me that if I have any problems, all I have to do is call and they'll set me up. They'd come in.

We need a chairlift because my wife has problems. My nephew had one put in in Florida and he liked it and it was a Bruno. So, I also went with Bruno. Both gentlemen who came out were very polite and very efficient. The stairlift has been very good. It fits well on our stairwell. My wife just complains that it's slow. She wants the turbo, but it has made me feel more relaxed because she's not climbing the stairs now.

A rep from Bruno came out and measured. We got two straight stairlifts for my father. I'm not totally happy with one of them because it stops one step before the top for the autofold to be engaged. Instead of just folding automatically, it has to be engaged. My father who's 95 years old has then started again to go up the final step. I would give that one a fair at best. The installer said that's the way this one works. We had a different one before that did not have that pause. Other than that, my dad is satisfied. This is not his first stairlift, but he could not live in this house without the stairlift.

When these people came down and told me the name of the product that they were going to install and that it's American-made someplace in Wisconsin, it made me feel good. A mobility company in Cheyenne, Wyoming put the stairlift in for me and I would recommend them highly. They were very proficient and on time. They were friendly and helpful all the way. The stairlift is nice and it works fine. I'm hoping it lasts a long time.

It's just to make it work right, it's always on the same side as where my handrail is. Also, the stairwell does not have a handrail. I'm looking at taking the handrail up, one behind the stairlift and having a new handrail installed on the other side. That way, I can move the stairlift back at least three inches and give it a little bit more room for people that need the stairlift getting down the stairs without having to squeeze by it.

I went to Miller Sales and they talked about Bruno, and then they sent somebody out and they assessed our needs. And after thinking about it, I went forward with it. The installation went smoothly and the installers were very good. I have two stairlifts. One is in the house and the other one is in my studio barn. I just wish they hadn't had to take my railing out but there wasn't room to leave it. I like to go up and down the stairs walking as well as using the chair, but it wasn't possible. Overall, we're happy. I have students that come here in the barn and they're using it as well. They're very happy, too.

Bob, the guy from Bruno who came out, was really honest and open about the options. I really liked that he didn't try to persuade us on going with him versus other options. He just laid out what the differences were between the Bruno and the Acorn. We got a straight Bruno stairlift. It's indoor and it has to swivel in one direction. It's perfect. It's nice and compact against the wall. There's plenty of space for us to get up and down the stairs. It goes down to the basement for us. The laundry is in the basement. We're still able to get up and down with laundry hampers with no problem. The chair has been fantastic. My mom had no problems with the functionality of it, going up and down, getting into the chair herself, and getting out of the chair herself. That's all worked very nicely.
