Bruno Review

The guy that installed our Bruno stairlift was 100% great. He didn't have to do much selling. We told him, "Get one over." It was less than 48 hours that he had it installed, too. The turnaround was unbelievable. Our mom can get down there now that we've got the stairlift. She's happy.

We had a hard time getting my wife down to the basement when we had a tornado warning. So, I wanted to get a stairlift for safety reasons mainly. Now, she can go to the basement even though she doesn't get down a lot. We have a nice big TV down there and stuff that she hasn't been able to get to.

The person who installed it is somebody we've worked with over the years for her mobility issues, and Bruno is the brand that he uses on Mobility Plus in Salem Virginia.

Our stairlift is attached to the stairs. It's a little bit wide. So, it takes space away. That was the trade-off. The chair and the rail seem really solid. It's got good quality.

My wife's tried it out and she's gone up and down a few times. She's done all right with it. We're very happy with it.

I was trapped on the second floor, and the times I had to go to the hospital, I had to get an ambulance service with a chairlift. So, before I come home, my buddy, Dave, got Bruno to put the stairlift going from the second floor to the basement, to where the basement den is, to where the entrance to the house is.

I just got another one a week ago going from my second floor to the third floor. So, now I have full access to the house.

The guy that came in that did it was friendly. I was here to sit for the second one. He did a great job. He was cordial and efficient and he was in and out in a couple of hours. I was amazed at how fast he set this thing up.

I got nothing but good to say about the installation, the company, and Bruno's personnel. They're good people. I'd deal with them again.

The installation of our straight Bruno stairlift went well. They did a good job. So far, I haven't had any problems. I can get up and down the steps.

The local dealer recommended Bruno. Our sales rep was very courteous and professional. He gave me a very good quotation. The installation was done very well. The quality is pretty good. The remote control works well, too. So, we're pretty happy with it.

I needed a stairlift right away. I had fallen and broken a bone in my ankle, and it was a problem getting up and down the steps. Getting a stairlift was one of the solutions to the problem.

With some of the other companies that I called, it would be a week or two weeks or the prices were not where I needed them to be. Plus, Bruno offered a two-year guarantee on labor and parts.

Bruno did send someone out to talk with me and to measure, and I was able to ask questions. The visit was good. They explained the questions that I had, and they told me about their product and how it would operate and how much room it would take up and where it would start and stop.

The stairlift is pretty compact. I can close the seat. I can lift the arms and the footrest. That gives me even more room if I need to push it and let it sit there for a while once my leg gets better.

I was originally concerned about the amount of space that it would take up on the steps, but it really doesn't take up as much as I thought it would.

Because of the injury that my sister-in-law sustained, she needed to have a chairlift and the company that we went to has Bruno and that was what was recommended.

The sales rep was great. He came out right away and gave us advice on what we needed to do. It was great. The only hard part was we had to wait 14 weeks. It was manufactured and shipping was delayed.

The reps from Bruno are beautiful people and very nice to deal with. They came to measure a couple of times. The two men that came and installed the stairlift are also super nice people.

Bruno is a top-of-the-line kind of system. It's absolutely flawless and beautiful. It takes Patrick up and down. I can use it myself if I feel I need to. I use it to bring the laundry up and down. I bring up the groceries on it, too. It's awesome.

Our Bruno stairlift does what it's supposed to do. Chattanooga Mobility did the work for us. I felt better with them doing the work even though they were about $900 higher than I could've got it with Acorn. They came out and looked and gave us a price and then came back when they said they would and put it in.

We had two guys and they put two lifts, one for upstairs from the first floor and one going from the first floor to the basement. They were pleasant to work with. They did what they said they'd do. If the price would've been a little bit better, then I would've been tickled to death.

Our experience with Bruno has been fantastic. The team they had was great. I had two lifts put in because I've got a split staircase, and my staircase goes down to a landing and then goes down to the basement. The installation took one day for each. My wife loves the product. It's a big thing for her to go up and down the steps. So, it works out for her.

My Bruno stairlift works very well. I would highly recommend this one.

I'd done some research and some shopping and it was between Bruno and another place out of Indianapolis. It came down to about 100 bucks. The Bruno stairlift takes up room in our stairwell, but that is expected. Besides that, it's okay.

The only thing is the price. I'm a skilled tradesman. I know how much things cost to build this and that. The curved one was a lot of money because we could have bought two straights for half of what we bought that curved one for. The curved one was $13,000, and it's all because of the curved piece.

We got the stairlift for my dad and mom. Mom uses it a lot. She puts a load of laundry on there and runs the laundry upstairs so she doesn't have to carry it.

I like my Bruno stairlift. The installer put it in promptly. He worked really hard. He actually had the wrong seat. So, then he had to run back to Akron, which is 30 miles away, to get the right seat. That kinda took a little longer but he did an excellent job.

My mother had stairs in her condominium, and we needed to get a solution for that. I did research online and liked the product of Bruno, the reviews and the warranty. We dealt with everything via texting and phone calls, and the rep was professional and very prompt.

The technicians were amazing. The product seems great. It was easy for my mother to figure out. She's glad she has it. Overall, Bruno was wonderful. I was really impressed.

My physical therapists contacted my doctor and they said we needed stairlifts in my home. My doctor wrote out a prescription, and I was contacted by Bruno, the stairlift company.

Jeff, their sales rep, was very good. I've had a good experience with him and his crew, Derek and Billy. They are good guys. All three of them are knowledgeable and personable.

I got two straight stairlifts and they're beautiful. I'm happy with them. They've been a big help. It's impacted my life in a positive note because I couldn't get around up and down my house, and now, I can.

I like my Bruno stairlift very much. The installation tech did a fantastic job. He worked very hard.

I've got a lift on the back of my car from Bruno and it works satisfactorily. That's the first lift I've ever had. It swings out of the way to get to the door. So, that is very helpful.

I've got two bad knees and ankles and that enables me to be a little more mobile, especially around bigger stores and things of that nature. I can go a short distance using a walker or two canes, but when it comes to longer distances, I couldn't do it until now that I have the lift.

My wife and I are 75 and our basement stairs are very steep. My wife was talking with her chiropractor and he recommended a stairlift. We started looking into it and found Bruno and decided that was who we wanted to go with. Everybody was wonderful.

The salesperson and the installation team got it done very quickly. They did everything they were supposed to do. Plus, we had an enjoyable time from the whole process.

The rep did his discussion pre-sale and showed us the brochure and went through everything. I could recommend the Bruno stairlift highly because it does the job, but it is less expensive than one brand that was out there that also, as we looked into it, they had bad service.

Bruno works perfectly and we look forward to it being here, especially as our years continue. Our laundry equipment is down in the basement. It's a ranch house and on the first floor, there's no place to put it. Also, we have our freezer and refrigerator down here. The basement is part of the house and we will need to access it as time goes on more. So, this will help us stay where we want to be.

My wife and I both use it sometimes. Sometimes, I have a good day and I will use the stairs. But then, sometimes when I carry the laundry basket downstairs, I will use the chair and hold the basket and ride it down the stairs or back up. So, it was the right thing to do at this age.

My office is down in the basement. So, I use it more than my wife even though she was the one that got it going because of her chiropractor. I use the same chiropractor and he said, "Yeah, that would be a good thing for you, too."

We have a straight stairway. It's not finished, so it didn't have to be fancy. We didn't have to do any fancy electrical because it was fine to just run an extension cord for the charger from the nearest outlet and plug that in. So, the installation was pretty straightforward.

The two guys that came out to install it were friendly. I was sitting here at my desk while they were doing it just to see how they did it. We had some common interests. So, while one guy was waiting for the other one to go out to the truck and get something, we had some pleasant conversations.

They were both involved in Boy Scouts. I had been in Boy Scouts as a youngster, and so we had a lot of pleasant conversation about scouting. So, it wasn't just business, it was a relationship.

The installers who came in and put the Bruno stairlift in were very professional. They showed me how to use it, and they did it all within one day. They gave me a brochure on it. I haven't had any trouble.

I love the stairlift. It's a lifesaver because I have steps in my house and it was so dangerous for my husband to try to hold on and go up and down with his walker and his stick. It's a godsend blessing. I'm completely satisfied with it.

My father is 94 and lives alone in a house that we built years ago. He passed out going down the basement steps one day and ended up on the basement concrete floor. Through the VA, I was able to get him qualified for them to purchase a stairlift for him so he can remain in his house.

The Bruno stairlift that we got has great quality. He uses it without any kind of trepidation. It's been a godsend for him because his shower is in the basement that he likes to use. So, it really has been a saving grace and a comfort for us.

The stairlift has improved my dad's quality of life because he was in depression that he couldn't get downstairs by himself without somebody here. That has been eliminated.

I needed a stairlift to get to the second storey. I got a straight one from Bruno. It seems to be sized right. I just had to replace the batteries in the remote. I also find the controls a little on the cheap side. Other than those, I have no problem with the seat and the arms.

The people who came to install our Bruno stairlift were excellent installers. The stairlift is beneficial when we use it. We have a two-story home. My mother's 92 and she's on the upper floor. She doesn't come up and down daily. She comes up and down for doctor's appointments.

We don't use the stairlift a whole lot, but we have to have it for when my mother does come down. In the summer, she may come down more because we'll have the health care workers taking her outside.

The only thing is the connector thingy bobber didn't work right. It's really strange. It happened three times. One of the times was just after they got it installed. The installer went up and down four times to make sure it worked.

My husband took it up and we couldn't get it down, and the installer turned right around and came back and made sure that it worked.

The sales visit with Bruno was great. I might be calling to ask for a little checkup. There are some rough spots where the joints hit, but other than that, the installation went fine. The installers were great.

The salesman from Bruno took the time and measured everything and explained it all. He was great. He was very knowledgeable.

The installers boxed everything and put the stairlift up and made sure it was gonna work. They put the pieces together. They laid them out on the floor. Then, they explained how to use it. They cleaned up after themselves, too.

Our stairlift fits perfectly in our stairwell. I've been very happy with it. My mom's very happy with it as well. It makes our lives a hell of a lot easier. I don't get short of breath anymore trying to go up the steps.

I liked that Bruno was made in the US, supposedly right here in Wisconsin. The price was a little high, but the quality is fine. It's made it easier for me to come down. I don't normally use it to go up. I usually walk up the steps, but I need it for coming down because I don't want to fall.

I just need to call the tech and get him to come back because I think the stairlift came loose. It's been used a little bit now. I think it needs to be tightened up. It squeaks and crawls a lot when I go up and down.

I got a curved stairlift from Bruno. I had previously gotten one from somebody else. It was more expensive. My Bruno is $1,000 less and it looked good. The Bruno reps did what I wanted them to do, and the product looked like it would be easy to work with. The economics were fair enough for me.

The installers who put in our Bruno stairlift were very nice and very good with follow-up, very good with instructions, and they wired it extremely neatly. You barely notice the wiring that's involved along the bottom of the wall. They did an excellent job.

The stairlift changed things for my husband a great deal. He was stuck in our family room on the lowest level since his brain tumor surgery, which caused paralysis. Now, he can come up to the main floor and further. We have a split level, so they put two in, one going up two short staircases.

I love the color of the stairlift. It's neutral. I love the way it folds up and it feels safe and secure. I wish sometimes that the seat turned out better at the bottom because it's a little bit of a maneuver with where it is to get the wheelchair up close enough to it.

The chair at the very bottom level faces one way when it comes down. It doesn't swivel out. When it comes up, it swivels out. It would be good if there is a little bit more swivel ability at top and bottom. Other than that though, it's been wonderful and we manage.

Something happened where I thought the stairlift wasn't working, but it was just a little glitch. I have the one that folds up at the bottom of the steps. When I folded it down, for some reason, I didn't know that it didn't click in place.

Someone came out immediately. He was here within the hour and I called him because I thought that the lift had stopped working for some reason. But it was absolutely fine. It was just the part that you fold out had not clicked into place fully.

I got a beige and curved Bruno stairlift. I tried it out the first time just to make sure it was okay, and I loved it. I have a little 90-year old lady here that needs the stairlift. She seems to be doing real good on it. Having the stairlift saves us time and money.

She was really scared of the steps. This stairlift has been great for her because she was kinda cooped up here in the home and needed two people to get her up and down the steps. So, it's really made her life a lot easier.

The installers who worked on my Bruno stairlift were very polite and to the point. They got the work done. The only thing is I'm on the heavy side, and the chair doesn't stay straight when I'm on it. I'm managing it but I find it a little unsettling when I go upstairs because of the way it leans forward just a little bit.

In order to turn the chair around for me to get off of it, I have to push on the post a little bit to make the chair go more upright so that I can clear that post to get off. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with it and that won't stop me from using it nor recommending it. It's a wonderful product.

Bruno was one of the companies that came up as good quality. The sales and the installation guys were all great. The guys were supposed to be here for four or five hours. They were done in like two hours.

I got a curve stairlift and it's indoor. I thought there was going to be an issue because I thought I was gonna have to remove the handrails and I didn't have to do any of that.

It was a struggle for my husband to go up the stairs and it was becoming more challenging every day. So, now that we have the stairlift, I feel comfortable.

If I need to get him out of the house, it's not an issue. It went to the point sometimes where I would have to call an ambulance service to get him in and out of the house.

I love our Bruno stair lift. We live in a quad-level, which is a tri-level with a basement, and my husband couldn't get up those seven steps to his bedroom. So, somebody had to stand behind him.

Our daughter was here helping tremendously all summer. She would stand behind him to make sure he didn't fall. She had to go home. So, she went to Alick's Home Medical, and that was how we got the Bruno.

The stairlift is wonderful. It won't start if it's not in the exact right place. You gotta wiggle it, which is good. Everything has to be safe. I put my clothes basket on it, and I just zip down to the laundry room. The stairlift is working for me and my husband.

The Bruno stairlift works fine. I love it. It's pleasurable, comfortable and reliable. The gentlemen that came to install it were very good people. They were impressionable and very cordial.

The sales rep from Bruno was very nice. She gave me all the information I needed to know and provided help when I needed assistance with anything else even outside their expertise.

We got the curved stairlift and it's nice. The only thing that might be a little bit difficult is the seat. We tried to fold it up when it's not in use. But still, when you're walking up and down the stairs, it might be a little bit in the way. But we're not the ones going up and down the most.

We have an aging grandmother who needs to use the stairlift. It's made her life much easier in general to be in the house due to the fact that she recently fell.

This was one of the bigger purchases that we need to do to ensure that she could still live in there. The swivel feature helps my grandmother a lot, so that she can get on there a lot easier.

We've had stair lifts since '96. We had to get a new one because ours died. We got Bruno and the installation team was in and out pretty quickly. They did a good job.

There were things I liked about the last stairlift that this new one doesn't have. The chair needs to be bigger, the seat needs to be bigger and longer and the foot rest needs to stick out further. Other than that, our new stairlift is quieter than the last one.

Scott can't make it upstairs without the Bruno stairlift. It's been a godsend. Getting things set up with Bruno was phenomenal. It's such a relief for us. The process took about a month but that was because of paperwork and not because of the company. There were inspections that had to get done.

The rep from Bruno was terrific. She did all the measurements she needed to do, she explained my options to me and she's been patient to me.

I wanted a stair lift that was in stock because my husband was getting out of the hospital and he would have had a very difficult time getting up the stairs. I've had no complaints with the whole process from start to finish.

The installer was terrific. He came in, did what he needed to do and walked me through how to use it. I like the stair lift a lot. I'm really happy.

I like that Bruno is made in this country. It looked like top quality and that's the brand that the company that sold it to me and then installed it represent.

We got the curved stairlift. It is the least intrusive that it can be and it's very efficient. It's terrific, and we're very pleased. My wife was very concerned and her concern is gone.

I called a person who sent me over to Westchester Stairlift, and they are the ones who recommended the Bruno. One of the owners of Westchester came. He explained everything. He brought brochures and made measurements. He showed me what would be done to install it and how long it would take.

Then his man came for the installation. Everything was smooth, and it was a great experience. The construction team was great. They prepared everything outside. There was no mess inside. They cleaned up after themselves. They didn't take the garbage with them, but they packed it.

I got a straight stairlift. When it's folded up, there's plenty of room to get by in the stairwell. It's great. My mother loves it. It's made her life easier. She can go up and down to go one floor to the other.

My Bruno stairlift has helped me to utilize my space. I got the curved one, and it's a perfect fit. If I was an inch taller, it would not work. The quality is very good. Also, the Bruno salesman was very knowledgeable, and the install went very well.

My wife has multiple sclerosis. And so, we were looking at the assistance of a chairlift. Alaska Stairlift had them, so we contacted them. I had no idea what products they carried but we went with Bruno.

Their technician did an excellent job. Her name was Ronnie, and she's very good and thorough. She set the stairlift up and it's working fine. It's not inconvenient if I have to go up there. I can just fold the seat up, and go up and down the stairs, and there's plenty of room to access.

It's a little too early to project on the quality of the product but on the appearance, it looks like good quality. Also, the service in setting it up and sizing it, they did an excellent job.

This is a second new Bruno I've had. I liked the other one and that was why I got a new one. I like the quality of the Bruno stairlifts. The other one lasted longer than normal. I got it in '14, and it is just now that I replaced it.

The only thing is the new one is not positioned right. I have a hard time with that one because they put it too high up. I couldn't reach the ground.

The installer didn't install it properly because it should've went further up on the stairs. It's past the doorway downstairs, and it should not be. Upstairs, it's not at the landing. It's just on the very tip of the landing when it should be over the landing somewhat, so you can get out of it comfortably.

I've got to reach far to the right with my right leg in order to get out of my stairlift. I could have them come back again, but they'd have to move everything, and put new holes in my stairs.

I'm not having that. I'll just use it the way it is. Other than that, it helps me greatly. I wouldn't be getting up the steps without it.

I needed a lift and my construction chief, Roger, was going to construct one himself, which he certainly could have done. But once he started investigating, he found out that Bruno was in business. So, we talked with some kind of a medical liaison person handling the sales.

We found out that the price would be competitive with what we could do if we had it constructed ourselves. So, we took some measurements and found out that it was available and that's how we did it.

The sales person answered my questions and several others that I didn't know I have. He's a very nice guy and seemed knowledgeable about what needed to be done.

Then, somehow or another, two bolts got left out the first time. So, he was very prompt to come back the next week and remedy that installation, although it hadn't made it so it didn't work. It was just he wanted to complete the job and he did a good job of it.

I was surprised because I thought the stairlift was gonna take a lot more room than it did. When he installed it, he was able to put it down low enough that people that are using the stairway in a regular way are not obstructed by it.

So, it's more compact than I expected and it's lower than I expected because the hallway that goes up is kind of a picture-decorative. It's almost got museum pictures on it and the stairlift goes below those. So, it didn't interfere with that display, which I thought was quite nice.

My experience with the Bruno stairlift is wonderful. It seems very nice, well-made, and sturdy. I really enjoyed talking with Jonathan and meeting Martin. I felt that they were very aboveboard, helpful and not hard selling.

I liked them a lot. They listened and understood the situation and they recommended the best thing but left the final decision up to me.

The guys that came to install my Bruno stairlift were amazing. The stairlift doesn't come in one piece, so there are these bolts right in the middle, and when it hits those bolts, it offsets the chair a bit and it's really wonky. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Then I can't use the footrest because when I put my feet down, it hurts. So, I don't use it. It sits so close to the center, but my legs are so long that sometimes my feet hit the stairs. I'm figuring out how I can put my feet and then it won't be a problem.

When I do have the foot thing down, it doesn't hit. They said to use it as a dumbwaiter as often as we needed to. So, my partner will send some clothes down to me.

Both of my bathrooms and my bedroom are upstairs, and everything else is downstairs. I don't have to live downstairs anymore. I love being able to get up and take a shower as often as I want, instead of crawling up the stairs every 14 days.

The stairlift does its job. It's safe. I would recommend it to any elderly person or anybody that needed it.

Bruno's distributor was close by and that was important in case there will be any problems or maintenance.

As far as the customer service, we worked with Luke. He came out and did an assessment. Then, from there, we placed an order, and then he came out and installed it. He was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job.

Our Bruno stairlift works really good. It serves the purpose really well. It's compact so it folds up so that you can easily get around it and down the stairs. It's a great product.

When it comes the time that you need it, it's better to have it than having to move out of your home. It allows you to be more independent and stay in your home longer when you have stairs.

My son's handicapped and we have a two-storey house and his ability to get up downstairs is decreasing. The people that we contacted all had Bruno. It helped with the weight limit. We thought it had the best platform for his feet.

It turned out though that the footrest doesn't stick out far enough. So, we just fold that up and have him go up and downstairs without the thing. Overall, we like the stairlift. It's worth it, works well and we wish we had done it sooner.

If you lived in a two-storey house and couldn't access the second floor because you couldn't get up the stairs, wouldn't you like a Bruno chairlift? I like mine. It's made it possible for me to go upstairs, which I couldn't do before. There's nothing I dislike about its features.

We decided first on the straight stairlift from Bruno, and we had to make a change because it required two chairs, one to the first landing, and you switch to another chair, and then one to the second landing.

It was a pain in the neck because you had to ask the person to change chairs and you don't want to do that. So then, we had them remove everything and put in the curved. With our stairlift, we like the convenience for a person moving around.

Bruno's sales rep was fine, but I think he should have put some kind of phone number in case we have a malfunction. Other than that, the stairlift works pretty good for us. It made my husband able to use the bathroom and go to his bed.

I love our Bruno stairlift. It's wonderful. Plus, the people that put it in did such a good job and got everything like they said they would.

My husband and I are both partially disabled and have a hard time getting up and down. We've got two sets of stairs. I was going to get an elevator, but I couldn't afford that. We couldn't find a place to cover all three stories of the house.

Then, I saw an ad for Bruno and I checked on it and the company is highly recommended. It's highly rated on Better Business Bureau, which was very nice to see.

I looked at the different ones and I thought Bruno looked like the best for what we needed. It turned out it was because the people that put it in were perfect. They did everything on time and we are very satisfied with it.

We would recommend Bruno 100% to anybody that needed one. It's convenient and I like the fact that one person can go up, and then we can make it come back down. Overall, it's been godsend for us.
