Bruno Stairlift Models

All Bruno stairlift models feature a chair attached to a rail that is secured on the stairs. When the rocker switch on the chair’s armrest is pushed, the chair lift travels up and down the steps. Bruno straight stairlifts use a vertical anodized aluminum rail. Bruno curved stairlifts feature a custom-made, vertical e-coated steel rail for stability and a precise fit.

For details about how stairlifts work, see our Best Stairlifts Buyer’s Guide.

Bruno stairlifts

Bruno stairlifts are powered by two twelve-volt batteries, allowing the stairlift to operate in a power outage. While in a parked position at the end of the rail, Bruno curved stairlifts are automatically recharging their batteries. Bruno straight stairlift models were the first in the industry to feature charge strips along the entire rail, which enable the unit’s batteries to constantly charge no matter where the unit is parked.

All Bruno stairlift models are equipped with standard safety features, including obstruction sensors that stop the lift if the chair hits an object on the steps and a seat belt to secure the user in place.

Bruno Stairlifts Costs and Warranty

Bruno straight stairlifts have a limited lifetime warranty. Curved and outdoor models come with a comprehensive five-year limited warranty on components and a two-year warranty on parts. However, you may get additional warranty coverage through the authorized Bruno dealer or installer.

The cost of a Bruno stairlift varies depending on the custom configuration and dealer. The price depends on the model, the rail length, upgrades, and state permitting requirements (businesses). Straight stairlifts from Bruno, such as the Elan stair lift, typically start at around $4,000, while custom curved models start at $11,000.

The average labor cost for installation is $70 per hour, and the cost of electrical work is approximately $300. Call your local government office to discuss building permits.

How Bruno Stairlifts are Installed

Bruno dealers are factory-trained to ensure proper installation of your lift. It takes an average of two to three hours to install a straight stairlift. A curved stairlift takes longer to install based on the complexity of the curves and the length of the stairlift rail.

Stairlift installation should always be completed by a licensed professional to prevent damaging your home or the stairlift. Additionally, having a professional handle installation prevents your warranty from being voided.  Bruno works with North America’s largest network of expert local dealers to ensure your lifts are handled by trustworthy and knowledgeable technicians.

Where to Buy Bruno Stairlifts

You can buy Bruno stairlifts from an authorized dealer in your community. Popular vendors include Lifeway Mobility and 101 Mobility. To find an authorized dealer in the United States or Canada, visit Bruno’s website.

If you need to find a Bruno Stairlift dealer outside of North America, there’s a form you can complete and submit on the website. You can also request a free quote on the Bruno website.

Bruno Stairlifts FAQs

Can I install a Bruno stairlift myself?

Only authorized dealers and technicians can install Bruno stairlifts. There are no DIY options available at this time.

Does insurance cover some of the costs for Bruno Stairlifts?

Most health insurance plans don’t cover the full cost of buying and installing stairlifts, and Medicare provides no coverage. See “How to Pay for Aging in Place Home Remodeling” for tips on making a stairlift affordable, and ask your Bruno dealer about financing options.

Can you order Bruno stairlifts online?

New Bruno stairlifts must be purchased and installed by a local authorized Bruno dealer. Most Bruno dealers will not install a stairlift that was not purchased from them, so ordering one online is not recommended. In addition, by using a dealer, a trained specialist can properly measure the steps and determine if any options are needed to customize the stairlift based on the individual user’s capabilities.

Are Bruno stairlifts permanent?

No, because Bruno does not permanently attach the lift to your flight of stairs, you can easily remove the stairlift once it’s no longer needed in your home.

Will Bruno stairlifts work in a power outage?

Bruno models are battery-powered and continually charged via a wall outlet. If the power goes out, the stairlift will pull from the battery power for an additional number of rides.

Which stairlift is better, Acorn or Bruno?

Bruno stairlifts offer a higher weight capacity, a better warranty, and superior customization, making them a prime choice for many homeowners. Acorn stairlifts, however, are more budget-friendly and quicker to install, making them a good option for seniors and homeowners who don’t require extensive customization.

Conclusion

When you’re in the market for mobility equipment, such as a stairlift, it’s essential to choose the highest-quality and safest product possible. Bruno Independent Living Aids has been in business for more than 35 years, stands by its products, manufactures all its lifts in the United States, and carries leading industry certifications for safety. We're enjoying our stairlift. We should've gotten it a long time ago. I have fallen down the stairs, and we're older, so we decided we need to get anything that benefits us in our older days.

We got some estimates around and Bruno was recommended that they were higher rating. Their reps were wonderful. We liked them. The guys that were here told me that they maintained it, so we won't have to worry about the batteries. We just call.

I like the stairlift because it doesn't take that much space. I have hardwood flooring and I don't like for it to come right down in the floor unless I really need it to. This comes right up to the stairs and it just shuts the door.

Having the stairlift is wonderful because we have a basement, and I go down there once a day and sometimes, twice a day. I don't have to worry about falling, too.

We already have recommended Bruno to people we know, and a lot of them went down there and checked it out and they liked it.

The Bruno sales rep was cordial and explained everything. We talked about what I wanted and what she could give. She knew everything. She answered all my questions. I understood everything she had to say.

Because I have a tri-level house and I have arthritis in my back and my joints, I can't climb the steps anymore. So, my Bruno stairlift assists me to get from all three floors.

My stairlift is a lifesaver. I don't use it every time. If I'm feeling good, then I walk up. But if I'm having problems, then I've got that thing to take me up.

I got the curved one because I got three levels. So, it comes up out of the bottom level to the middle level, and then it makes a 180-degree turn and goes up to the third level. I'm happy and satisfied with it.

The rep told me that it would hug real close to the wall and I can leave my handrails the way I had them. So, everything is fine.

The only thing is I know it's not going to fall off but as it goes up, I hear a little bit of creaking sound, but it doesn't rock you back and forth. So, it's sturdy.

They couldn't secure it to the bottom floor because I had tiles. The installer said if he drilled a hole in that tile, it would do nothing but crack. So, he supported it. He put a piece of a carpet under it, but that carpet has come out. So, the very bottom of it is not touching anything.

Then, the butterfly trigger on the end of the arm where you can sit down and use it to go up and down quit the first day. So, I called them and we have to use the remote control.

They came out after about 10 days when I called. They came to see what was wrong, and one guy said the seat comes from the factory that way, but to me, that seat was mounted too close to the frame.

When I sat down on it, it cut the wire going to the butterfly trigger on the arm in two. He said he was going to have to order another cable. That's been about three weeks now and it's still not fixed.

I liked what I read online about Bruno and I like the pricing as well. One recommendation I have is when they install the stairlift, they could start sending something to cover the hardwood floor because it's a very long product. That way, there are less chances of damaging the floor.

Other than that, I had a good exchange with the salesperson and the installers. There was good communication there.

The stairlift is of good quality. It works well. My mom is super happy with it. It's been a blessing in my mom's life, so I highly recommend it. Go for it. Don't delay it.

I roll my chair on our Bruno stairlift and it goes up to my porch. My house wouldn't support the indoor one. When I first was diagnosed with my MS, a ramp was built and it wasn't really up to code. It's real steep and I didn't have the money to make anything different.

So, I lived with that for a little over 13 years. Then, now that I'm on this other program through the Medicaid, they offered money to buy and fix it for me so I could have a safer way to get in and out of the house.

The Bruno rep won my husband's approval. The people that were here to install were friendly and made sure that everything was okay. They weren't making a lot of noise or bothering me.

I like the quality of the lift. It should have been just a little bit wider or a little bit longer because my chair is a different kind of chair than what they normally use for the lift. Other than that, it's a whole easier than going up a ramp.

I looked up some of the names of the stairlift companies and also talked to some people who had various ones. I really didn't like Acorn, and the Bruno seemed to be much better.

Wendy, their rep, was marvelous. She was a lot of fun and she was very accurate and good at what she did. The only thing is she measured everything, gave me a price and sent me a piece of paper with all the stuff on it, and I misplaced the piece of paper.

I couldn't remember who I called. I found the piece of paper after about two months, so I called them up and they got right on it. If I had been Wendy, I would have called me back in a couple of weeks.

The people that came in to install the stairlift were pretty quick and good at what they were doing and had it installed in no time. I kind of hung around them and they didn't seem to mind me being there.

The stairlift is growing on me. It's kind of slow. I'd like it to be faster. I suppose a lot of people say that, but it works. Bruno seems to be a heavier duty unit than Acorn. It works really good.

My Bruno stairlift has helped me to go upstairs, which I couldn't do anymore. My breath wouldn't hold up to get up the stairs. Now, I can go up my stairs and get up there when I need to.

I just get on it and push the button and go up and come back down. It's nice that when you get upstairs, you can rotate the chair around to get out.

We put a Bruno stairlift in as a surprise for my parents. So, we had to get them out of the house, and then install it before they came back. Everyone cooperated and it worked out quite well.

I've used the stairlift myself many times and there are no problems with it. My mother doesn't like it, but she'll get used to it. As far as my father, his legs are very long and sometimes they touch the banister.

I like Bruno. It is a good chairlift and I like how it's installed. The installers did a good job. The stairlift seems to be working good. The chair doesn't always click in good. I have them come look at it to see if it's just me or if it's the chair. When you turn it, it beeps.

Then, when I get it turned around and get my wife sat in it, it's still beeping and I have to keep jiggling it to get it to snap or I have to do something for it to quit beeping. When it's beeping, it won't work.

We have a Bruno stairlift in another house. We purchased a new house and got another one. We got the indoor one and it's straight. In this new house, we have a pretty wide stairwell, so it fits nicely.

The sales reps were great, very informative and easy to work with. Bruno is top quality. I like the quietness of the stairlift.

My mother-in-law uses it. Her room's upstairs, so it gives her the freedom to keep that room. She's familiar with the other ones, and Bruno is what she likes. The old one is 20 years old and it still works great. The features are pretty much still the same.

The Bruno guy who came out didn't waste a lot of time. He was very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what he was doing and got it done quickly. Everything fits and it was installed much quicker than the other companies that I had talked to.

The stairlift works the way it's supposed to. It's definitely served its purpose. It's really helped with my wife and what she's going through right now.

As far as the sales side, any questions I had, the guy took care of things quickly. I'd give Bruno A plus on everything. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat.

We were going to get an elevator initially. I looked at the cost of the elevator and it was kind of too much. Then I talked to the gentleman who came here about the elevator to look at the home and see where we wanted to put it.

He also talked about stairlifts. He told me Bruno was the one that was made in the USA. It was all USA parts and USA manufacturer. It was one of the good ones. So, I decided to go that route.

The installation went well. I had the wiring done for them so they didn't have to worry about that. They went up the stairs and the extra parts I've got went well.

The stairlift does have a click at the end when you're bringing it down. That's something we were concerned with, but we haven't called anybody about it yet.

On both sides of the seat, it has the plastic part that comes down. We got a retractable bottom. It comes up on off stairs. It isn't one whole piece because we have a doorway there. When the stairlift comes down, I keep hearing a click.

When I finally looked at it, it's the one away from the bottom. The second piece that has a piece on that side of seat that keeps tapping pushes it a little bit, and it springs back. I'm not overly concerned but it's something I will keep an eye on.

When purchasing a stairlift, one should consider the width of their stairwell going up. I got a fairly standard going up.

I walk and my wife mainly uses the stairlift. And when I walk up, if I had anything in my hands, it might be a good squeeze through there. But so far, it hasn't been an issue. We talked to friends of ours about the chairlift and they went down and got one also.

I love their customer service. The stairlift is easy to use and it's comfortable. I can't think of anything that I would expect Bruno to do that they didn't do. Their product is great and the people that I had install it were very professional. I would recommend it to anybody.

My husband was having a problem with his lower back. He lost a little bit of function in his legs. We have a colonial, so he had to go up and down the stairs at least twice a day.

It was becoming a little bit dangerous because I would come down with him in front of him on the stair, and one day, he lost his balance coming down. Fortunately, he sat down on the stair as opposed to falling forward on me and taking me down with him.

At that point, it was either we move into a ranch or we find a different way to get him downstairs. Walking up wasn't a problem, coming down was the problem. We went online and we looked at elevators. Then something popped up about a stairlift, so we decided to check into it.

I had someone come out to the house, and we asked a lot of questions and the person explained how it all works. We put the Bruno stairlift in, and it's been terrific.

Reggie came out from the one that was over in Westchester. He did a very good job. He explained how we use it. We did a motorized seat, and I spoke to John about changing out the motorized seat and just put in the manual.

I'm in the process of trying to do that right now because the motorized doesn't go all the way around when it gets to the top.

It just stops at some point and Richard needs for that seat to go all the way around so that when he gets off, he's getting off straight ahead and not a little bit to the side. He is at the top of the stairway and if he loses his balance, I don't want him coming down.

So, we were looking into just changing out to manual. Reggie said they just need to put a bracket in, and then they can be made into a manual seat so Richard can control it that way. That would work, I think, better for him.

I'm just waiting for the snow to at least abate so that I can have someone come out here and take care of that for me. But Bruno is a great piece of equipment.

I would have no problem recommending Bruno to anyone. We dealt with John and he was very knowledgeable and nice. We had very nice conversations with him when it came to the house.

One of the men on our board brought Bruno up at one of our board meetings. Since we're starting to get elderly people with a lot of stairs, we thought it'd be a good idea to look into it.

During the installation, one guy came out. He did a great job. He's very friendly. I talked to him and he showed me everything. It was very wonderful. Everybody who has used it really likes it. It saved their legs and they thought it's fantastic.

One guy is pretty large and he fits in there great and he loves it, and he's 97 years old. We haven't had a really long time, but the quality seems great. The cost seemed like it was pretty reasonable.

We're using our Bruno stairlift a lot. Overall, we're very happy with it. We got the straight one, and then we bought the additional piece that folds back on itself. The rail folds back so that it clears the hallway on the bottom.

Right now, we have it set so we just go straight down without having to fold up because I go up and down the stairs so many times during the day.

My husband uses it sometimes to carry laundry upstairs. He puts the basket of laundry on the chair and he sends it up to me. It's funny. So we're using it for a person, and he doesn't have to carry stuff upstairs anymore.

We bought the larger chair because I wanted the footplate to extend out further. I may have to get my knee operated on and I thought, to bend my knee all the way back under, I would prefer the choice of those extra three inches sticking out.

We also thought it was going to last longer and be more sturdy, and we like the option of the rail that folds back on itself. They told us about the swivel at the top of the stairs. Every time I ride it up, I fold it back up so the others who live with me can shoot up and down the stairs.

The representatives at Bruno were excellent. They were very helpful. I thought the stairlift was well-thought-out when we were getting the initial information. I thought that this was not the first model that had been advanced to fit a varied number of needs for different people.

I spoke to the Bruno representative a couple of times. She's very good, and I was very satisfied with her. We didn't have very good luck with the Harmar chairlift. One of the salesman told me to get a Bruno. I checked up on that, and that's what we got.

We've had the chairlift about a month now, and I've had good luck with it so far. My husband is going through a kidney dialysis and is quite weak, and having the chairlift on our back steps really helps him. It makes it a lot easier for him to get down the stairs.

Bruno fits in our home very good. It's not as wide as the other one we had, so it's very good. I also have no problems with the quality of it.

My husband is handicap and he has special needs. When I was researching for something where he could go upstairs without using the stairs, I came through the company, Bruno. I researched more to find out about it. I did like the sales visit. It was really good.

When I researched the different products, customer service was what people were mentioning. Once you install the product, the main thing is it should be able to work nicely for a longer duration.

If something goes wrong, you need a good customer service. So, that appealed to me. A lot of the reviews said that Bruno had excellent customer service and they stand by their product.

Also, it was made in the USA. I would want to get something which gives our country more preference.

We went with the straight vertical model. It fits perfectly in our home. I could not have thought of anything better than this. We have four steps. After that, we have a small square landing. Then we have a whole flight of 15 stairs.

That landing works perfectly because my husband can climb that four steps. That landing is perfect where the chair will sit. He can also sit on the chair, and then go all the way upstairs. And upstairs, we have the landing of the lobby, so it works out perfectly.

So far, the stairlift has been really good. They've mentioned that it can take a lot of weight, and it's not flimsy. Even as far as the maintenance goes, they said it's pretty easy. There's not going to be a major issue. I like it.

The Bruno stairlift is functioning, but we can't turn it on. The alarm goes off all the time. If we turn it on, it goes up and down but the alarm keeps going. It's a very loud alarm. We changed the alarms in the house. We thought it was the house alarms. It's the chair.

We called and talked to Doug yesterday. He was the installer and he told us to call the main number. We called the number yesterday and it was busy.

The chair is fine. Doug told me it could be the contacts. It seems like the battery ain't charging. But there's power going into it, and it's just the alarm keeps going off.

The sales visit with Bruno went very well. They were professional and they did a great job. The installation team was great. They got done very quickly and it's worked well. The stairlift's quality is fine.

Our Bruno stairlift is absolutely wonderful. My husband likes it very much. He uses it always. It was a very nice, seamless transition from not having anything to having something that worked very well.

All of the equipment is absolutely durable and beautiful and we're very grateful to have it. The installers were very considerate, very conscious of being careful in the home, very clean, very professional and very kind.

Bruno is the best company in the whole wide world to work with, their people are the most efficient and considerate people to work with, and I was very blessed to be able to have their services for our home.

It was time I got a stairlift because I'm having a heck of a time going up and down the steps with my cane, and I'm very happy with mine from Bruno.

The installation was quick. There was hardly any wait for them to come and put it in. I love how the lift goes up and twirls you around. It gets you right where you want to go.

Everything's working fine with Bruno. My wife had a stroke and we were looking at getting a stairlift. I have a good friend that knew the operator and owner of the one where we got our Bruno up at Canal Winchester.

The guy that installed the stairlift was excellent. He was top-of-the-line guy. My wife wasn't here at the time because she was still living with my daughter.

We got it in. It just needs lowered somehow. I don't know what the technique is to lower it down a little bit. Her feet don't quite hit the floor. It's a little bit high for her. But other than that, everything is perfect.

The stairlift fits in the stairwell perfectly fine. We can still walk beside it as we're going up the steps. It goes clear at the top, everything swivels, but it sets just a little bit too high. The guy said we could lower by calling him, but I just haven't got around to calling him yet.

Now that we have our Bruno, my wife doesn't have to walk up the steps. I got 13 steps and she has trouble getting up steps. I have two steps to get to the landing.

The worst part of her trip is getting up those two steps to get into the chair. Then once she's sitting in the chair, we get to the top of the stairwell, and everything is fine after that.

There was a guy that came down and installed my stairlift. He was very nice. I'm very happy with my Bruno stairlift.

I have terrible trouble getting up and down the stairs. The stairlift certainly helps me. It makes my life a lot easier. I like the convenience of me not having to lug stuff up with me when I walk up.

We like the location of Bruno. It was close to us. The in-home sales rep was very knowledgeable and very nice.

Two men came up for the installation and they were very nice and got along with my dog. They got the installation done quickly. I have had no problems with the quality of the stairlift and it seems to be nice.

I entered the house in the middle of October. I have 16 stairs to go up and I was out of breath when I got to the top. I was in there five days. When I came out, I knew I wasn't going to make these stairs every day. So, I made contact with the VA and they got people come over.

My Bruno stairlift has been working fine. It's helped me a lot. I don't have that trouble breathing anymore. I get to the top of the stairs. My bedroom and my bathrooms are upstairs so it was a needed product. I'm very satisfied with it.

The rep who came expressed everything I wanted to know and seemed very knowledgeable about it, so I was satisfied with that. Then the installer that came out a few days later was as knowledgeable and went over everything with me.

Before he left, he made sure I could work. I had a wide stairwell. So, it still leaves room if something had to be moved up or down. The chair is not in the way at all. I recommend to old friends about it.

I would be situated downstairs all the time. Since I got at the house, I've been on oxygen. So, with the hoses up and down , the stairlift made a big difference. It feels safe. It doesn't go too fast, it doesn't go too slow. It's a smooth ride.

It's got a little control at each handle. As your arm is sitting on the armrest, you have the control right at your thumb. You gotta press. If you release the control, it stops. Halfway down, if for some reason you want to stop it, you just release the control.

I got a Bruno lift for my truck. The installation team was excellent. They came to my house, picked up my truck, took it to a shop and brought it back with the lift installed. That process took about three hours. It was less than they told me. They told me it might be four or five.

The lift looks very good. I haven't used it a lot yet but I think it's gonna be excellent. I like the ability to take my chair where I go when I need it.

I can't walk. I needed to get a stairlift for my home. My daughter chose to use Bruno. The reps who came were very quiet. They did what they had to do and left. But they forgot the seat belt so they had to come back. The quality of my Bruno stairlift is wonderful. It also fits into the stairwell very well.

I was needing to get a stairlift for my elderly mother. I did research and Bruno seems the most reliable and with the longest warranty.

The sales visit was very well-organized. The people who came showed us how it worked. We rode it up and down. They answered any questions. They didn't rush us. We stayed there a long time. I was very pleased.

I love the stairlift. It gets my mother down and upstairs where she doesn't have to get out-of-breath. It's got very good quality. I'm really pleased with it. The cost is very reasonable.

Having the stairlift made it easier on me to not have to worry about my mother falling down the stairs. It also carries my groceries upstairs and my laundry. If you get Bruno, you'll get your money's worth.

My Bruno stairlift works great. I love it. The VA told me they would send somebody around to give me an estimate. They sent two different companies here. Each one of them gave me an estimate. The VA picked Bruno, which was fine with me.

The installation was good. My problem is my stairway is very narrow, and the stairlift takes up a lot of the room, which can't be helped. The quality is very good. It looks good. It operates well.

My Bruno stairlift works slower than my other one, but it's very nice and very quiet. I'm still on oxygen. So, it helps because I'm short-of-breath. I can ride it up and don't have to be short-of-breath.

I had an old Bruno for about 25 years old. To get the new one, I just called and ordered it over the phone. The person who came to install did a good job.

My husband had a stroke and this Bruno stairlift is very good. We both had strokes and heart attacks. That really helps out. When the people came and installed it, they were super nice. They were here for about three hours. I would tell others right away to get a Bruno stairlift.

I purchased a Bruno stairlift for my elderly mom. The person who came during the sales visit did a very good job.

He ended up recommending Bruno's product over some other products because the feature of the bottom rail kind of moves down and back up again. Because of that feature and because he highly recommended the equipment, we went that way.

It was a one-man team that came out for the installation, and it did not go well at all. On the first visit, the technician broke the mechanism that moves the arm down to the bottom of the lift. The chair rides on a rail. There's a bottom piece of the rail that moves up and down as part of the operation of the chair.

I was there when it happened. He couldn't get it to fold right. He was pushing on it, and there was a loud cracking noise.

Shortly later, he said, "This was shipped broken from the factory and we're gonna have to get a new piece shipped out. I can't install this because it was broken at the factory."

I didn't call him on it at the time. He said, "Well, you probably heard the cracking noise, but it was already broken. And pushing on it just caused it to completely break." So, a new section had to be sent from the factory. That took a couple of weeks.

My parents seem to say the stairlift works fine. There was an issue where that piece of rail that comes down had moved a rug there, and it wasn't working.

So, they called the installer, Albany Lift, back up again and said, "Hey, it's not working." They said that that interaction went very poorly with Albany Lift and that they were rude. But my parents are old and crotchety. So, I don't really know if that interaction went poorly.

I had fallen and I got out of the hospital. Guardian Healthcare was a provider through VA. They use Bruno and they're familiar with the company. I told the therapist to go ahead with the company that they deal with, and the paper went through so quickly. It was unreal.

I'm happy with Bruno except when it goes up and before it hits the last step, it stops. Then I got to put my foot down and push up on the step and push backwards and then it'd go up the rest of the way.

I got the straight stairlift. The rails are not straight with the stairwell though. They come out, they start so far out the top and then they get wider at the bottom. I don't understand why because the chair doesn't hit nowhere on it. That rail should be straight with the wall.

I have two of them. I have a tri-level. One is going down and one is going upstairs from the main level. Both of them are like that.

When it's all the way up the top, that's where it's closest to the wall, but it goes out wider at the bottom. But even if you spin the chair, it doesn't even touch the wall when it's up high.

The lift is fine. I wish, when you get off, that you don't have to keep lifting the arms up. The arms with the one upstairs, once you spin, you lift up one arm and it doesn't beep anymore. I wish you could just leave it in any position and let it go and you don't have the beep.

I'm the only one that lives here so when I get off on that level, whichever position the chair's in when I get off it, I figure if I just get back on, I don't have to worry about that. But you have to keep putting the seat up and putting the arm up and that's ridiculous.

The installation team was really good. They measured everything. They went outside and they cut everything. I even cleared a spot in the garage in case it rained and they were just fine. They put everything together.

The young guy did the one going downstairs and it works with no problem. It will go up and down. The one upstairs, the other guy put in. That's where it goes up and before it gets the last step, it stops. Other than that, they did a great job.

With the stairlift, I like that I'm able to get up and down the steps, plus I got the remotes that if somebody was handicapped or something and rode it down, or if some reason I had to come up the steps and I didn't use it, then I'm able to get it back.

The greatest thing is being able to get upstairs because I was sleeping downstairs for almost a month and a half. There's just a bath and not a shower so I couldn't take a shower. I'd have to get me upstairs to get a shower. Now I can do it all on my own.

We had another Bruno stairlift installed a year ago. It is going to our lower floor. Apparently, there was an update to the model in the last year and we find that the new one is not half as nice as the old one. It just seems to become a cheaper construction.

It raffles as it goes up, the arms flop down on their own, the seat has got some kind of a surface on it that is supposed to help you not slip, but it prevents my wife from sliding on as well as she does the lower floor.

There are a number of things about it that we don't think are improvements. The old one is a bit more utility. The new one is a little bit nicer to look at. The other one tucked behind the seat and was more out of the way than the new one is.

We went to a local installer and looked for a chairlift for my wife originally so that she could go to the basement. So, they installed that one approximately 15 months ago and she was very happy with that.

We went and got the new prices for the new one, and they did tell us it had been updated. But it's fine. We're not gonna worry about it.

The rattling might be a problem. The other one is pretty quiet as far as the gears go. This one seems to clunk a lot, especially at a certain point on the stairs.

We haven't talked to the installer about it, but that's what we observed. We'll talk to the installer about that at some point.

We had a Bruno here. I bought it used from a friend of mine because his parents had died. That was about six years ago. What had happened was my mother and father-in-law both moved in with us. They also need a chairlift.

So, the old one I had was getting used way more than we anticipated between my wife and both my in-laws, and it had seen its better days. So, we decided to update it. Because I had Bruno, I just stuck with the same name.

Everything went well during the installation. The only thing is when they came to put it in, we weren't told in advance that there was gonna be a charge for taking the old one out.

We kind of went around with the manager, and they waived the fee to have it removed because it was never brought up to us upfront. I'm very happy with their lift. It works terrific.

I'm 75 years old and crippled. I decided to purchase a stairlift from Bruno. It took them almost a year to get it installed. The VA had someone from Anchorage come all the way up the Fairbanks to do it, and they only come up twice a year.

The installation part of it, once they got here, was fantastic. The stairlift works. When a person has a narrow staircase like I've got, it would be good if they would make the seat where it would turn and you end up backwards. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the product.

I got a stairlift to help me get up the steps to the bedroom. The price is the main thing and I went with Bruno because of that. The sales visit was really good. The rep was Wendy. She was very good. She explained it all to us, and that worked out really well.

The installers were fine. I got the straight one. They were able to do it in a really timely manner, and I really liked it.

I like the ease of using my stairlift. It's much easier going up the steps. I can make trips up there when I need to instead of just going, "No, I'll have to wait until nighttime to go up there." Now, I can go up during the day, so it's doing daily activities. I feel very safe using it.

So far, so good. If someone would ask about it, I'd say, "It changes your life and it makes life so much easier. So, don't be afraid to get a device that's going to help you to achieve your goals and your daily activities. Don't let the looks of it scare you away."
