About Safe Step Walk-In Tubs

Safe Step is the premier walk-in bathtub and shower provider in the United States. What we like about Safe Step is how they include bathroom modifications, plumbing, and electrical work and installation in the cost of their walk-in tub quotes.

Safe Step Walk-In Tubs come equipped with standard features that other companies consider optional upgrades, such as cleaning systems and therapeutic devices. We’ve rated Safe Step the “Great for Arthritis and Joint Pain” winner in our walk-in tub buyers’ guide because Safe Step has the Arthritis Foundation’s Ease of Use certification.

Plus, every Safe Step tub is customized to meet the size and design needed for the project, ensuring an accessible bathing experience. The company’s tubs are manufactured in the United States, come with a lifetime warranty, and, according to company representatives, are the no. 1 choice by sales volume for the product category.

After purchasing a Safe Step tub, the company will arrange for delivery, installation, and hauling away your old tub or shower. You don’t need to hire additional plumbers or electricians to complete the project. However, upfront fees may be required to start construction.

Pros

  • Most full-service installations and removals take less than one day
  • More features than other tubs
  • Shower hybrid option
  • Financing and discounts available

Cons

  • May charge an upfront deposit
  • Only 10 possible hydro jets

Safe Step Walk-In Tub Features

While the size and shape of Safe Step walk-in tubs often vary, many have the same standard features.

The models have several key safety and comfort features to minimize risk during bathing for anyone with mobility issues. Users get into the tub using a side door, shut the sealed door, then fill their bath without worrying about falls, slips, or trips. The heated seat keeps users warm while they wait for the tub to fill.

Because Safe Step can customize its product to fit customers’ needs, homeowners rarely need to change the size or layout of their bathroom. Therapeutic devices are standard on all tubs, including the Dual Hydrotherapy Massage System and Chromotherapy System.

These benefits and safety features are the reason why people buy Safe Step walk-in tubs:

Safe Step Walk-in Tub Costs and Pricing

Safe Step walk-in tubs are an investment in the comfort and safety of the homeowner. The company was reluctant to share prices with us because, like any construction project, product and installation costs will vary depending on the size and scope of the project. However, we were told that Safe Step models start at $10,000 for the walk-in tub, including shipping and installation.

The company avoids quoting general prices since nearly every project is unique. To help make the cost more manageable, the company offers a financing plan with approved credit. Before choosing a payment plan, check interest charges and compare them with other credit-based options.

Safe Step offers a “Helping Hands Rebate” of up to $1,500 to help offset the lack of Medicare coverage and discounts for military veterans.

You can get a free quote by completing a form on the Safe Step website. For guidance on what to look for in the price of a walk-in tub, visit our walk-in tub guide.

Safe Step Warranty

Safe Step covers its products with a lifetime warranty on parts and labor for the original purchaser as long as a company representative installed the product. This warranty covers the tub (including manufacturing defects), door seal, faucets, water pumps, heaters, and blowers.

Specific exclusions may apply, and coverage may not pay for all service or labor costs for every repair. There is a two-year warranty on caulking.

Safe Step Customer Service

Safe Step provides customer service via phone or chat on its website 24 hours a day. For those interested in buying a tub, a salesperson will return your call within an hour or two, or you can schedule a time to see one of the many showrooms in the U.S. We recommend visiting one of these showrooms so you can test the functionality of the walk-in tub before purchasing.

Those who have already purchased a tub have access to the customer service line from the moment they pay their initial deposit. This same phone number will connect them to a representative for any ongoing troubleshooting or warranty claims that may come up.

Safe Step Walk-in Tub Reviews & Complaints

Customers report being pleased with the responsiveness of the service team in resolving issues with leaks or answering questions that arise over time. Buyers describe Safe Step walk-in tubs as a luxury in-home bathing experience without sacrificing safety. The perks of owning a bathtub come up frequently from customers with mobility issues, with some reporting a significant relief of pain symptoms from conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) rates this company with an A+, its highest rating. Safe Step has earned this mark by responding to customer questions and complaints quickly. Many of the reviews left by customers are specific to the experience they received at a particular Safe Step dealer and may not accurately reflect the service at another location or the brand as a whole.

The most common complaint received by customers is that the tubs and showers can leak soon after installation. It’s not uncommon for a newly installed walk-in tub to need adjusting after some use. Almost all verified Safe Step reviews mention promptness and professionalism in getting installers and service providers back to the home to make these adjustments under the original lifetime warranty.

Some complaints were related to unclear pricing guidelines. Some customers felt pressured to buy when a representative visited their home to measure the bathroom for an appropriate fitting. Some said that figuring out the total cost of various models and options was confusing.

However, most verified reviewers who mention price seem satisfied with their overall purchase and refer to the higher-end tubs as a worthwhile investment for their health and peace of mind. Customers compared the step-in tubs to having a private hot tub in their bathroom.

Finally, a few reviewers warn that these walk-in tubs can use more water than a standard bathtub and often require an upgrade in the hot water system to accommodate the volume.

Safe Step FAQs

My home doesn’t have a standard-sized tub. Will my bathroom have to be remodeled to accommodate a walk-in tub?

Some remodeling may be necessary if your traditional tub does not meet the American standard size. Safe Step will determine which tub is best suited for your bathroom, including size, plumbing and electrical needs, fixture placements, and aesthetics. Their trained team members will recommend the appropriate tub or shower for your needs after inspecting your tub area.

Will my existing tub or shower need to be removed first?

Yes, your existing tub or shower will need to be removed before the installation process can begin. The Safe Step team will handle this for you. Their professionals are trained in proper removal and clean up, which is included in the cost.

How much are the additional plumbing or electrical charges required for installation?

All additional installation tasks, including any necessary additions to your plumbing or electrical systems, are included in the price and are outlined in your custom quote. The Safe Step team has membership in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO). Its professionals have received extensive training on how to ensure your systems are treated appropriately upon installation.

Does Medicare or Medicaid cover the cost of a walk-in tub or shower?

No, these programs will only cover the cost of durable medical equipment, which does not include walk-in tubs.

What kind of warranty comes with my product and installation?

Safe Step guarantees its products and the quality of installation for a lifetime against manufacturer’s defects and performance of the new tub, door seal, faucets, water pumps, blowers, and water heaters.

What else should I know about Safe Step?

I had a Safe Step before. This new tub is tighter than the other one. The other one’s much easier to get in and out of, but I think I've just gotten fat. Overall, I like my experience with Safe Step.

I’ve been enjoying my walk-in tub so far. I enjoy the shower more than I do the tub. I have turned 90, and I began to realize stepping out of the tub I had was dangerous. I live alone. So, that made me interested. I started watching the advertisements recently on Safe Step, and that was how I decided to go with them. When I had talked to a person who had some arbitrary experience, I was interested in that type of tub. He made me feel that I might have to move the commode or make some changes in my bathroom. When Safe Step came out and looked at it, nothing had to be moved like a change in the commode. So, I was glad I went with Safe Step. Plus, they did it in one day. The representative was very nice. He sold me on the idea to go with them when he looked at my bathroom and let me know that a whole lot needed to be done.

I like the microbubbles of my Safe Step walk-in tub. The tub is okay. It’s just I didn't anticipate how long it would take me to clean it up every time I take a bath. I am unhappy that I didn't know how much cleaning it requires for every bath. I thought I could scrub it down, but it doesn't seem to work that way. I have tried calling Safe Step to find out if there's any particular soap I could get that would help but I can't reach anybody. I get a voicemail and never a return call. The customer service could be improved.

Safe Step was the tub that I wanted. They had all the features I wanted in a tub and a shower. The installation took eight hours. There were two people, and they didn't make a mess. When they left, the bathroom was clean and the tub was ready. All we had to do was let the caulking dry. We waited one day. But as far as the operations, within eight hours of their arrival, the tub was in and ready to be used. The quality is good. You couldn't tell they had to take a tub out to put another in. Everything went smoothly. I was very satisfied with the work that they did. It was very professional.

The tub got the massages and the bubbles. I especially like the fine mist bubbles that are supposed to help the hairs on your legs. It’s very relaxing to be in there. My favorite feature in it is the lights. I like sitting in there with the lights off, changing the different lights, and relaxing. I also like the Bluetooth. You put on whatever type of music you want, and then sit back and relax.

I feel a lot better now that we have the tub because we had it installed because of my wife getting in and out of the old tub and sitting down. Sometimes she would need help getting up. So, that solved all those problems. She can just walk in and do her own water. It's really nice. I'd tell others that if they get a tub, they'll love it.

We're using our Safe Step walk-in tub and enjoying it. I wanted to have one put in because we are not that mobile. We got another competitor in and over the weekend, we felt that it was way too much money. So, we called an online lawyer, and he got us out of the contract. Then we called the Safe Step representative in, and then we bought the tub from her. It was about 4,000 cheaper. Safe Step also had an advertisement over the web that was about half an hour long, showing the use of the tub. I found that to be very informative.

The installer put the tub in okay. He was done in 10 hours. He caught himself badly and had to go to the emergency room to get stitched up. That was why it took a little bit longer than normal. He came back and finished it up. He missed a little bit of the caulking in the corner of the wall. Other than that, it was okay. As far as the tub, I like it very much. I like it when I can float in it with my knees up against the opposite end of the tub. It was very relaxing. I was in there for a full half-hour.

I like the idea of Safe Step offering discounts. I had a coupon from AARP that showed $2,000 off the price, and that helped a lot. That worked out fine. Installation was fairly quick. Todd did a wonderful job installing it. And then, we had somebody come out to inspect it. As far as the walk-in tub, the more you use it, you get more adjusted to it because of all the buttons and where everything is. I personally like the tub itself to fill up, soak, and use Epsom salts. If you're going to take a shower, it would be better to take the shower first, and then fill up the tub. Otherwise, you should do them separately.

Safe Step's sales rep was very good. Installation was good, too. We feel much better now that we're using our tub. It's just the jets could have been stronger. There are three jets in the walk-in tub that you turn on. The speed could have been higher. It could have more velocity. The quality is good, but the jets could have more force.

Everything was wonderful with the Safe Step reps. It was delightful. They were not pushy. They were not overly anxious. It was great. They were on time for their appointment. The installers were also wonderful. Everything was left neat and clean. They were cooperative and very professional. I enjoy using the tub. It's a delight. I love everything about it. I like that you can set the water temperature so you don't have to do it every time. I enjoy it. I sleep better as well.

We saw Safe Step in the AARP magazine. I had been thinking about it for years, but then I had some back problems and I said, "You know what? That might be very good for my back." So, the more we thought about it, we decided to make a call. A gentleman came in and told us all about it and we went for it. Within a month, we had it installed. The gentleman was very soft-spoken. He didn't push us into anything. He said, "We needed this as far as, I guess, for the water." Turned out, we had what we needed. Then he said, "Okay. Then we need electrical. See, if you've got any open ports, I guess." He checked and went, "Oh, you do. You don't have to pay all that extra." So, it worked out very well.

About three people came in for the installation and an electrician came in as well. The only thing we were disappointed in was the electrician. He made a mess in the laundry room and didn't clean it up. But as far as the three guys who put in the tub, they were clean as can be. I was very happy with that. After they all left, my husband went down to the laundry room to do something, and he said, "My God, it's a mess." They put a hole in the ceiling and everything fell. All the clothes we had in there were a mess. So, we were not happy with the electrician.

The tub is very good. It looked like it belonged there. In the beginning, we were trying to figure it out. My husband made a call once about something, and we got it straightened out. Right now, I can't use it because I just had an operation on my back. So, they told me I couldn't go into a tub, let alone a step-in tub. But I was using it every other night. My husband is using it, too. So, we are very happy with it. It's supposed to be very good for the skin. It's relaxing. It's just nice to sit in. I like the lights. We haven't hooked up the music yet, but we will. I'm getting a new phone. So, when we do, we will hook it up. It's very pleasant.

Safe Step has the most features and the better price. Their sales representative was good. For the most part, the installers were good. I found out after they left they had to take the mounting off from around the doorway and they didn't put it on very well. I had to get someone to come out and fix it. We love the tub, but the installers didn't do a very good job.

Safe Step's rep came out and did a presentation. He did well enough that we own a walk-in tub now. The installation was sort of difficult because we live in a two-story house and it's an old home. They figured out a way to get electricity to us through outside. They were able to accomplish that. We have the jets and the shower, and we have the overhead rain apparatus in there. So, we have everything except a heated seat.

We bought a Safe Step and put it in about a month ago. The crew that put it in was very professional, but they didn't have a shower curtain or a grab bar in the package. They said they had a problem in their shipping department and they sent it someplace, then they sent it back because they didn't have my right address. So, we're waiting for them to come and put the grab bars and the shower curtain in. I hadn't taken a shower because I didn't want to spray water all over the place. I don't have anything against the installation itself, but the video shows this woman getting in, sitting down, and then closing the door but it'd take a strong man to close that door. I have to get in, push against the door, and then try and raise it up on the handle. There's some misadjustment to it.

I talked to the fella at the factory. He said when they come to put the grab bar and the shower curtain in, they'll adjust the handle so that at least my wife can close it. But you go into the video and they say, "Oh, my goodness, that woman, she just steps in there and she just turns that handle and, boy, it's wonderful." It's not like that in real life. I don't know if they screwed the handle in too tight or what.

Other than that, it's a beautiful machine. It makes it look like we completely renovated our bathroom. Everything's so nice, white and clean-looking. We haven't used the shower yet, but my wife has a little trouble with it because it has a control panel and, if she doesn't have her glasses on, she can't read what button to push. So once we get used to that, it'll be okay. It's just she's afraid of the whole system. It's complicated.

The salesman said that you could turn all those water jets on for 20 minutes and you'd be really relaxing. They're really good for people who have sore muscles and they'd make your skin good. So, having the door that my wife could get out of and then possibly easing her pain in her back sold me on the tub. Overall, everything works except for a few little things like that and that's about it.

When Safe Step's salesman came out here, the walk-in tub was everything I needed. It's pricey but at my age, I gotta take a bath, and I keep falling. So, this is the only way I'm going to get a bath. The salesman was wonderful. His name was David. He showed us everything there was about it. He was down to earth. Installation was good. The installers came in and widened the doors a little bit going in to our room to get to the bathroom. They cleaned up their mess and fixed everything back and explained everything to us, and it really didn't take a long time. They did the best they could. You can't really tell they did anything. It looked like it did before but they don't do anything to the floors. We still gotta put down some flooring.

I love the tub. I wish I had done it a long time ago. It's got the jets. They are wonderful, and it's comfortable. You got the knob that you open and the water drains out fast. You don't have to sit there for a long time when you get through. The only thing I wish was different on it was the shower handle. I wish it had different stages where you could turn it and make it do straight. Other than that, I can relax. My muscles are relaxed. I'm not tense.

We hate our Safe Step tub. It's small. It's cramped. It's the worst thing I ever did and it was so much money on a waste of stuff. They showed it to me before I purchased it. But when you look at it in the catalog, and then when they do it, it's a whole different thing. It's for someone a little thinner and someone bigger. The salesman was excellent. He sold it to me so he was very good at his salesmanship. That was why I went for it when he showed it to me. Unfortunately, I should have never bought it. I spent $17,000 on a tub that is useless in my house.

The tub was originally for my mom who had cancer. Unfortunately, when they installed it, that was the day that she passed away. She never got to use it. When they did install it, I looked at it and I said, "My mom would have never fit in there." She's not a heavy woman. She's a medium woman, but it's cramped. It's horrible. Also, there's water on the side that stays there when you take a shower and water drips on the side. I wish I never spent that much money and I wish I could put it back the way it was before.

I absolutely love our Safe Step tub. We wanted a bathtub because we just had a shower. I've only used it three times so far, but I really like that I get in there, and I have all these different jets I can turn on and I can change the color of the water. It's very relaxing and it works really well for us. I am very satisfied with Safe.

My mother contacted Safe Step Walk-In Tub in February. They removed a walk-in shower and installed the tub on March 5th. It was a nice model and the installed price was over $30,000. One of the selling points for her was the 'no-strength locking handle'. Since the day it was installed, my mother has not been able to close the door by herself. I've looked at it, and it is obvious that the parts aren't aligned in a way that the latch can smoothly move over the door striker to close it. So, other than a couple of attempts the first week, it has gone unused, and my mother has had to use a shower in a tub. Stepping into the tub is a hazard for her. She falls regularly. She and I have been calling to remedy this situation for two months now. A few weeks ago, two people (a salesman, and an installer, I believe) showed up and looked at it. They said the door was warped and ordered another one.

They said they would return and install it when it arrived. It was delivered to her house two weeks ago. I happened to call their customer support line again that day. The customer support person on the other end of the line said that she could see the tracking information and knew that it would be delivered that day and be available for installation. The installer never returned. I called again last week since no one has come to install the door and was told that a customer service manager would be called immediately (not the first time I'd been given that answer). Still nothing. I called again just now. Someone with an offshore accent answered the phone and took my contact information. I'm sure I'll have to call again after this Memorial Day weekend.

There seems to be a pattern here of the company responding to all low reviews, apologizing and giving customer service contact info. I expect this review will receive one also! At my mother's age and health situation, three months could be a significant portion of her remaining life. Is a year's worth of independent bathing worth $30,000, or six months, or three months? Calling once per week hasn't gotten us anywhere. I feel the next step is to sue.

Looked good until silicone caulk cured. Install was terrible! Walls and paint damage! I thought the opening they had to work with wasn’t square but that wasn’t the case. Neither of us are overweight but tub cracks and pops as we step in and out. Even the glass doors were hung crooked. Safe Step owes us an apology and a refund, I won’t be holding my breath!

I wanted to get a Safe Step tub because I have a lot of physical problems, and it works for me for that. The tub is certainly safe. I have a problem with falling and you can't fall too far and miss. It's got a seat in it and I could sit. There were a few things I didn't care for but for the most part, my experience was good. The part that I didn't like is the electrician who left me with three holes in the sealant that were covered up with plastic. I didn't think that was right. Other than that, the installation went well. They seem to have it down to a science. They were done in a day. I think someone had to come back the next day for something, but most of it was done in one day.

I wanted to get a tub that was quality and we could get some type of insurance and guarantee that it's gonna last us. The Safe Step salesperson explained everything to us step by step and he even had some video that we were able to watch. We were concerned about the installation, and he went over that procedure with us. He made us understand that, normally, this is done in one day's time, which was good with us. The installers called ahead of time and told us what day it was and they will try to get here early morning. They got here and started working, and they did finish up in one day's time as they said.

So far, so good. It's doing all the things that they said it would do. We do have a manual, and it's got a lot of bells and whistles on it. The jets are working perfectly. Our new tub massages us. We need that type of therapy on our legs and bodies. It's very comforting to us and relaxes us. We're enjoying it and having a good time with it.

Love the concept but so far, issues that have not been resolved. My tub has multiple operating issues. Unable to control the jets so water splashes everywhere, not exactly relaxing! The installation was less than perfect with items left undone or not up to our standards. Husband was a project manager for years with prior construction experience. He can do anything and always flawless. Our bathroom currently has missing Sheetrock, uneven underlayment and our exhaust fan no longer works, contractor smooshed piping when in attic. Working out a solution, but not very timely. I’d say when this is all taken care of and the tub works as designed, I’ll enjoy it very much and won’t regret decision the add to our home.

Our experience with Safe Step was great. The installation went smoothly. They showed up on time, they did everything that was needed, prep work and installation-wise, and cleaned up after themselves and explained everything, how everything works. So, it couldn't have been better. The product works great. We're very satisfied. We don't use it every day but when we have used it, we're glad we made the investment. We like the overall comfort factor. The air movement, the bubbles, and the water feel very good on both our achy bodies.

Safe Step is great. Bob, their rep, was great. He was so down-to-earth and he wasn't pressuring at all. It was like talking to a neighbor. The two guys that came for the installation were great. They put something down on our white carpet first so they wouldn't track in mud. They weren't here very long. I like the jets because I hurt my back. My husband likes the shower. I would recommend Safe Step, but I would not recommend the loan company. Our first bill is due the 26th and we are supposed to get monthly slip-something sent in like car payments. I haven't even gotten those yet. I'm very upset because we wanted to pay more than what the payment was.

This was the absolute worst shower that I’ve ever took in my life. The salesman lied about the currency and we had to put a $4000 deposit down. The showerhead had little pressure compared to the last showerhead. I would not recommend this for an elderly person because it is very hard to close the door.

We've enjoyed our Safe Step walk-in tub. It also helps our son who has some back issues. The installation was very quick and professional. They did a good job and a good cleanup job. So, we are very happy with the installation. We like all the features of the tub. I had a bath and it was difficult to get in and out of. The Safe Step walk-in tub solved the problem.

The reps from Safe Step were very pleasant and helpful. Installation was a breeze for them. They cut out the old tub and then got to work doing the plumbing. We were staying out of their way. They did have to take out a couple of doors and door trims to get the new Safe Step into the bathroom. But once they did, one started working on the installation and the second gentleman started putting the doors back together. They were done in no more than eight hours. Everything looked fine. We've used the tub several times now. We enjoy it. It's easy to get into.

I'm not nuts about the air bubbles that tend to blow water behind us onto the shelf. It makes them wet. After the first time, we threw a towel up there and that took care of things. The only change is, after we use the tub, we like to take a shower and the tub uses up all the hot water. So, you get in the shower and it's a cold one. It doesn't heat up that quickly. What we checked into is an electric tankless heater to supply the tub and let our regular gas heater take care of the shower.

It was slippery getting in and out of the regular tub. So I said, "Let me try this one with open the door and walk in and sit down." So, I bought a Safe Step walk-in tub and I'm okay with it. I'm not just pleased so far. The part I don't like is that you have to get in and sit there and get your water going, and then you have to wait for it to drain before you can open it. I hope it's never been an emergency where I'm gonna need to get out of it because you can't open the door until you wait for it to drain.

As far as the salesperson who came out, he kept asking if I had any advertisement and I didn't let him know that I had. In the end, he tried to sell me a shower. It will cost 2,000-something. I said, "Well now, I was told by some people that if you get it, you get a free shower." I didn't like that part about it because he knew all the time that it was supposed to have been a free shower, but he didn't think I knew about it. I didn't like that he wasn't all the way truthful.

The installers were in and out in less than two hours. The first day when they brought it out and they set it down outside and I got in and went in, it was a hassle to squeeze in. They didn't have that larger one because I wasn't gonna be satisfied with this. So he called somebody and then he came, and he said, "Well, we do have another size." It took a week later and they brought the other one out. I tried it and it was easier to walk in and sit down than the first one was. To close the door, you had to squeeze up a bunch to close the door without it hitting your leg. So then, they brought me out the other one about a week later.

When he did, that was when he looked at the door that he had to take it through in the bedroom and he said that he had to cut my wall to get the larger tub in. He has to do what he has to do. When he did, he cut the wall and he did put everything back as best he could on the door and the piece that he had cut out. He nailed it back up together and then put the doorframe back up. So, made it look as neat as he could with the crud in it.

As far as the tub, it takes a little bit too long to fill up. That's one of the things that's the downside of it. I was hoping that it would have had a different drain system that wouldn't take as long to drain the water out. Other than that, I like the micro. The color water change is pretty. It's just nice if I could get in and if the water would come in faster. Otherwise, I'm pleased with it.

I'm handicapped and I was really terrified of falling in my shower. So, I went online and I put in walk-in tubs, and Safe Step came up first. I looked into it and called. I looked into a couple of others, but Safe Step looked like what I wanted, so I went with it. The sales rep was very energetic and told me about all the other tubs down the market, and why Safe Step was better than all the other tubs.

The quality of work is good. I got there as the installers were leaving and I did get really upset at them because my son asked them how much I paid for it and they told him. That was inappropriate. As far as having the product, it meant freedom for me. I was really afraid of my shower and now the fear is gone. I can stand up and take a shower in it, and sit down and take a bath. I usually do both. In one session, I normally stand up for a few minutes and then sit down and bathe.

Safe Step's presentation was good. They came out and showed me some options, and they were telling me how it was helpful and all the good stuff about it. I liked the presentation part of it. I ended up purchasing the tub. The installation went well. They widened the door and then they said that I could go get another door. They told me how wide the door should be, and they cut my carpet underneath and down into the floor. They told me there is some type of plate to get to go under the door, which I never could find correctly. I put a door in there the best I could have.

Then the tub has been giving me problems ever since I had it. The jets didn't work so they had to come back out. And now my tub has been leaking for a month and no one has came out. I called them several times. I got one return call. They said he was going to send it to the technician and he will be contacting me, which he never did. So, I called them this morning. I've been calling everyone outside to get somebody to help. I'm in an over $20,000 contract. I feel I'm paying for this tub and it's not benefiting me, and I don't want to mess my credit up. So, I don't know what to do. So, I called them again this morning, and I spoke with a lady named Lisa. She went back and saw when they had put the ticket in. She was going to the management about it today. I don't have a copy of my contract. So, she's gonna make sure I get a copy of that, and make sure somebody called me back. Lisa sounded promising.

Now, when I run the shower part, it doesn't leak but when I fill the tub with water, it leaks downstairs to the laundry room. So I haven't been in the tub since the first part of January.
I know they won't give me any refund. It's hard. I don't know what to do about this situation. I got it in November, then I had issues with it. It took about three weeks to come back out after they installed. When he first installed it, it didn't work properly when I went to get in it. So, it was three more weeks before they came back. It worked for a couple of weeks. And then, all of a sudden, it was leaking really badly. I'm very dissatisfied. I thought I'll be enjoying the tub, but I haven't gotten to enjoy it yet.

I like everything about my Safe Step tub. The installer did okay. It took him about eight hours. The quality of the product is good. As far as draining the tub, it takes about 10 minutes to get started and it drains about half-hour or 45 minutes in there. And whenever you get out, you feel really good. You go to bed and you can sleep like you never slept before.

I had told Safe Step I was interested and they sent somebody to the house. They did a presentation. They showed me everything they had. I got the product, and the installation was really good. The guy did a really great job. They gave me a demonstration, told me how to do this and that and they left me with instructions. I keep that by the tub in case I don't remember certain things. The tub cost a lot but it looks really nice. Everybody likes it. There's a lot that it does. I like that I can play my music while I'm in there. The lighting is really nice. I like that, and the jets. I like that I can sit down, and I can get in and out of it. Getting in and out of it is the best thing.

At this point, we're getting used to our Safe Step walk-in tub. We're learning a couple of things like you can't fill it up too high or it splashes out when the jets go on. You can't stay in too long. So, it's a learning experience. My favorite is having the ability to walk in and not have to step down into a bathtub. The installers were great. McKinley did the presentation and he was great as well. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.

I get in and out of our Safe Step tub all right. I'm a fairly good size and it's really too small for me. I like the bubbles. I don't care nothing about the lights. The heat is good and I do like the fact that the water temperature is the same all the time. It is safe because you can't get out unless you unlatch it or you can't get into it without unlatching it. So, it's kind of like you're in a pen.

The install experience was fascinating and the installers seemed to know what they were doing. They did it quickly. It took most of the day. Then they had to do some more stuff the next day. It was electrical. They had to hook up the next day. We ordered the tub on the 28th of February and they didn't get around to putting it in until sometime in about the middle of November. That's a long time.

I like the quality of the Safe Step tub. My tub looks good. It has a regular door. My favorite feature is the air bubbles massage. I've been using the tub more. It helps with aches and pains. The only thing is the amount of water. I knew it was gonna use a lot of water, but I didn't know it was gonna use that amount of water. The Safe Step rep was good. The installers were very courteous. They looked the house over to see the best way to bring in the tub and set it p. They finished, and were in and out in about seven hours.

I love our Safe Step tub. It makes me feel better. I've got arthritis and I'm also on oxygen, and that warm air and the warm water that comes in makes breathing a lot better. The sales rep was very good. Everything was very smooth. The guys who put it in were very nice, very polite, and very competent. They cleaned up the mess when they fixed up everything and made sure everything was picked up when they left. They said, "Thank you and goodbye."

The sales rep from Safe Step was a really nice guy. He was really informative and he was very good at it. There were two people that came out for the installation and they did a nice job. I was impressed with it. My new bathroom gives me a place so I can use the shower or I can use the tub itself. There are grab bars that are in the tub, and then there's one that they put on the wall. There's a handheld shower thing, too. The tub makes me feel safer when it comes to shower time. I did it for my safety.

I was using shower bench and I couldn't get into the water because I couldn't get out of the tub once I was down that low. I'm finding the Safe Step walk-in tub so much more comfortable. I was only showering two to three times a week. And now, just walking by the bathroom and seeing the tub, I want to be in it. It was pretty easy to learn what to do with it. When I first went in and the voice welcomed me, it kind of startled me. I didn't expect it. I would like to see the water fill the tub a lot more quickly. That waiting takes about 20 minutes. The drain worked nicely. We got all the features they offer. We got the heat from my back, the jets and the mini bubbles.

The sales representative that came out was very informative. He was very courteous. He went around measuring doorways to make sure that he could get it into that bathroom. During the installation day, we stayed out of the way. Every now and then, we'd go and peek at what they were doing. It took quite a while, but they did an excellent job. They had to cut away part of the doorway. But once they got the molding back on, you couldn't tell what they had to do.

There was a little accident when they were breaking up my old tub, which was the cast iron with the porcelain covering. Somehow, it banged into the base of my toilet and put a crack about a foot-long and a couple of chips. It hit the painted wall and left two little chips in the paint. Safe Step has offered to bring me a new toilet. My husband's in the process of trying to get an appointment set up with them. Right after we had installed the tub, we had to go on a trip for a wedding in Florida and we just got back Wednesday evening late. So, we got back to them and they're gonna make an appointment soon. So, that was a two-week delay on our part because they were gonna come pretty quickly.

The Safe Step walk-in tub has been a help to us so far. I like the heated seat and the spray nozzle that's on there. The Safe Step installation team was here a little earlier than they were supposed to be, which was great, and they weren't here as late as the salesman said they probably would be. So, it was done quickly and clean and wasn't bad. I liked that the salesman had been an installer before he was a salesman. So, he had a fairly good explanation to what would be going on and what would be required for the installation. Safe Step was easy to work with. They were friendly and competent. I would recommend them.

My wife is handicapped and we needed to help her get into the tub a lot better and safer. The sales representative from Safe Step was great. He's friendly and informative and he was a very good salesman. I really liked him. The installation went really well. The installers had to do quite a bit of work to get it in there. It was really tight in our bathroom. So, it took a couple of days. I really enjoyed those guys, too.

The one time we used the tub, it was great. We only used it once because my wife fell in it and we had to get the fire department to get her out. They had to cut the tub up to get her out, but we got another tub ordered. That tells how much I liked the service and the guys. I ordered another one and it's supposed to be put in the 4th of October. I requested the same installers to put it in and everything's going really smooth again.

The Safe Step sales rep was very informative and he did a good job. As far as the installers, the guys never stopped working. So, we got done. They were very pleasant and did a very good job as well. I have no problem with the quality. I have a Jacuzzi bathtub and the pulsations are a lot harder and I prefer that, but I really enjoy the Safe Step because I get to sit down in nice hot water. I can't stretch out my legs, but I can sit down in it. I'm very satisfied.

I like the product. You're very safe in it. A repairman came a few days after I got it. The pad that you push had come unplugged and it wouldn't work. So, he came down and he told me something that the guys who put it in didn't tell me. He said that I have to wipe off the sides of the door and the stuff and leave the door open when it's not in use so it won't disintegrate. They didn't tell me that, but he did. I had been leaving it closed. So, if the installers tell people that, it would be good.

We purchased a Safe Step tub for my dad. We inquired to have someone come out and talk to us about it. The guy that came on-site was very personable. He was from the local area. He seemed very experienced and trustworthy.

He was very frank about what the offerings were and the different features that we could or could not purchase and what the benefit would be or not and was open about the cost. That was very welcoming and we decided to trust him and Safe Step and we got the tub.

The installers knew what they were doing. They were adaptable to the conditions in the house because they had seen pictures , but they had not been on site, but they were able to move ahead and get the install done completely.

They chose to install the surround above the tub in a way that would eliminate the need to go back and make an adjustment to where the old tile stopped. So, they were attentive not just to the technical installation of the tub, but to the aesthetics of it, too.

My dad is really enjoying the tub. It's a good relaxation for him. It's good for his back. He has sciatica and it's been some relief for that. The calming effect of being able to get in there and relax and enjoy the bubbles and the features at the end of each day is good. It's a good reward for him to give himself at the end of his career and a way to enjoy some of what he's earned.
