I purchase this overprice tub in March 2022. The salesperson lied from the start. Told me my 40gal water heater was plenty to use this tub. Got the tub installed and can not use it due to not enough hot water! So I purchase a hot water tank booster as the service tech requested. Still not enough water.

I had to make a this huge investment for this tub and now I will have to upgrade my hot water heater. Their service sucks. Their customer service sucks and I would highly recommend if they call you hang up! They will lie and deceive you! Safe Safe Tubs SUCK.

I had two Safe Step tubs in Massachusetts and this one here. The product is excellent. If it was a 10-star, I give it a 12. The only thing is with the three installations, one time was really bad. That was my first time. But the last two times, my installation has been excellent.

I told the sales rep right up front, "Look, this is what we're doing. We're looking at Kohler." But I also said, "Since we've had two Safe Steps and the product was excellent, we decided we'd see what the quote was." He explained everything again and he didn't have to explain much because we owned two of them in the past, but he was excellent.

There were two installers who came. They spent three days because they had some construction there. They did a fabulous job in fixing everything and what they had to tear down. We couldn't be any happier.

As far as the tub, it's nice to sit in there and have Jacuzzi going. Now, we got Bluetooth. I like being able to relax. My wife uses it more than I do and she usually takes a glass of wine with her and I don't see her for probably 45 minutes to an hour. I'm very satisfied. I would highly recommend Safe Step.

I like the sales representative from Safe Step. The technicians that came out for installation seemed knowledgeable, professional, respectful, courteous and friendly.

As far as the tub, I like that I can get in it. I do wish the foot part was a little bigger. I like to take a shower, and I'd like a little more room to take a shower. It also would be better if the plug was on the faucet side and not the seat side because when I'm taking a shower, I keep stepping on it.

One other thing on the plug is when you fill the tub, you have to hold it open for a while because the power of the water keeps shutting it off. You still have to sit there anyway, so it doesn't really matter but if you're not paying attention, it shuts, and you're not draining and you think you're draining and it takes longer.

Also, the shower wand only does one thing. It doesn't have different settings. like the massaging pulse, and it doesn't have that. It just has the shower feature.

My mother absolutely loves the Safe Step tub. It's been a great improvement. Using the water jets has increased her mobility. It's much easier for her to be independent and bathe herself.

We enjoyed the salesperson, Doug, tremendously, felt comfortable with him from the minute he walked in the door, and he explained things better than any other company that we talked to. We talked to two other companies.

Also, Safe Step's price was better than the other companies along with the timeline to get it installed.

We had to have the installers come back a week later because we didn't have hot water going into the tub. The temperature control was not calibrated when they installed it, but it was still a good experience and process.

We enjoyed all the people who came here and worked on the tub. The guy who came for the service call after was phenomenal, and we've had no problem since.

We would definitely recommend a Safe Step tub. We like that mom can be sitting down and still open and close the door compared to models from other competitors where you can't do that. The tub is top quality to us and we like it better than the other ones.

The sales representative from Safe Step was fantastic, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. He explained and answered all our questions. I was expected to get a call from the representative of the company within a week, and they would have the schedule of when it was going to get delivered and when construction was going to start.

I said, "Okay, no problem." The salesman had very good building knowledge and estimates and what was going to be required of the workman in order to install the tub because not all of our doorways were amenable to just moving it right straight in.

A couple of them had the framework taken off, and then the existing shower enclosure had to have its support frame on the outside removed in order to get enough room for the unit to get in there.

As the date came about, I called back the company because I haven't heard anything from anybody. "Are they on time? Is everything cool or whatever?" I ended up speaking to a young lady who said, "No, we do not have you on the schedule."

Previously, I had gotten two other phone calls that my wife had intercepted and she told them, "No, we already have a date for installation. Everything's fine." She wasn't feeling good, so she hung up on the person.

I answered the phone on call number three and I said, "Now, listen, you guys have called me twice before trying to get me scheduled for an installation. My installation date is so and so date." The lady looked at the calendar and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. **. We do not have you on board for that. You're not on the schedule."

This was like a month that has gone by. There was no satisfaction there. She had just started working there. She had only been on the job for like two weeks. She can't get me scheduled with an actual date.

I was frustrated because I've already forked over $2,000 in downpayment and I got a $16,000 bill hanging over my head with no product to show as a reward for. So, I called back a couple of days later because she asked me to call back when her supervisor got back.

Another lady answered it. She said, "No, Mr. **, you're still not on the schedule." "Okay. Let me speak to the supervisor." "Well, he's not in right now." I had to wait another week before the supervisor got back.

The supervisor came up with a story that they had overbooked too many units for their workers to take place. They were going by this statistic of one-day installation. Meanwhile, it was taking two days to install.

Some of the crews are not as able or knowledgeable as others, so it's taking them about four days to install a unit, which is backloading the schedule by over a month. They were trying to reschedule everything, but they were a month behind.

Needless to say, by now, my gaskets are blown. I was ready to call this whole darn thing off. He called back within the next week and they finally scheduled me for the day of installation and he guaranteed me that he was sending out his number one crew. They're very knowledgeable. They are actually the trainers for the other crews.

The day arrived and they were supposed to come here at 8:00 in the morning. 8:30 rolled around, and I called. They said, "Oh, yeah, they're on their way." They showed up at 10:15. The lead worker looked like something out of Deliverance as far as personal appearance goes.

He did not have any type of uniform on. He didn't even have presentable clothes on as far as being a legit representative of the company.

Worker number two hasn't shaved in a while and he needed to take a bath too. In their little slang and their type of tonal quality, they assured me that they're the best team and they know what they're doing.

They wanted to know the route, how everything's gonna go, where the electrical panel box is, and where the hot water heater is. As soon as they look at the hot water heater, they said, "Well, we ain't got to do nothing there. Everything's fine that way."

He said, "Well, sir, we're gonna have to take out this framework here." I said, "Well, sir, that should have been in your job description because I've already paid for that. You got to take that all out, and then you got to put it all back in. And supposedly, you're going to put it in there and it's going to look like it was never moved." He said, "Exactly."

I just let them go ahead and go to work. Everything was moved out and they knew exactly what they were doing. On the first day, they started at 10:15 and didn't leave until close to 6:30. We were trying to be nice and put our best foot forward. We invited them for dinner because they look like they hadn't had a halfway decent home-cooked meal in a while.

On day two, they showed up 10 to 9:00. Supposedly, there was a traffic jam on I-70 and they had to pick up some fittings at Lowe's and the Lowe's store personnel didn't know where these fittings that they needed were. Their excuse was tardy.

As the day went on, things were slowly moving and we were noting the progress. 6:00 rolled around, they were still hard at it, but at least the tub's in place.

I asked the guy, "Are you still waiting for an inspector?" "Oh, no, we decided we're gonna go ahead and plumb it in anyhow. I can't wait for the plumber and I can't wait for an inspector." "Okay. Does this mean we're going to get in trouble?"

I haven't seen building permit one. Although, he said when he first got here that all the building permits have all been placed and the inspectors have been notified when to come out and check things. I was holding him to his word, but no inspector ever showed up. He did the plumbing himself without a certified plumber.

7:00 rolled around. They seem to be running on an empty tank. I did not offer them supper because now they've been there day two way over time as far as I'm concerned. It's time for them to wrap it up and get out.

That's the bottom line. I've heard enough storylines, I've heard enough excuses, I've been bamboozled long enough. I've had it with this crew.

About a quarter after 8:00, they got everything swept up, wrapped up, and they did a very nice job cleaning up after themselves. However, up in the top portion where they had to remove that section of the wall from the old shower enclosure, they had put it back up.

He explained as they were getting ready and packing up their tools and went out the door, that he did not put the crown molding that was up on the ceiling back up in there because after they rebuilt the wall, apparently it got extended by about half an inch.

So, the old crown molding will no longer fit up there. I just said, "Just leave it. I'll fix it. Don't worry about it. Have a good day. Have a safe drive home. Goodbye."

I am not a happy camper. I regret making that decision. I wanted the missus to use it so she could get used to it and because her back was hurting her. So, I thought that the water jets would do her good.

Unfortunately, what nobody had explained was not to pour baby shampoo into the water as it's filling up because it starts bubbling. As it got up to waist level, she turns on the jets. For the next two hours, I am doing a five-gallon bucket brigade, removing the suds from that bathroom.

She had poured half the bottle of baby shampoo into her. So, it was quite the sudsy motion. Because I was frustrated, it made her frustrated. It was not a relaxing situation. Lesson learned. We won't do that again. Everything's cool.

She's gone in there a couple of times more and she's gotten the massage and it's made her relax and she's felt safe with it. It felt comfortable. It may not have corrected anything, but it did ease it and makes us feel better.

We had the walk in shower installed. They did damage to the wall in the den and the wall on the exterior of the house but they fixed it.

I had concerns about the shower throwing water everywhere before it was installed and mentioned this to Cameron ** who said not to worry they had a magnetic strip at the bottom and the shower curtain had magnets in them. This was not the case and I contacted them.

They offered a plastic self stick tube about an inch high. I said no - it wasn't going to stop the water from coming out and it looked tacky. They said they would contact me via email with alternatives. Never heard from them. This could have been taken care of by simply having a 4 inch height on the shower.

It cost $16,587 to take the old bath tub out and put the walk in shower in. I think they could have better customer care. I am disappointed.

I'm enjoying my Safe Step tub. The salesperson who came out and talked to me was very nice. The installation went well. The only thing is the way that the door opens inward. I shower in the mornings and then I do the tub later on. I have to turn the shower on to warm up the water before I get in there.

We had a Safe Step put in in October. My husband fell in the hospital in November this past year and we knew we had to do something to ensure his safety. So, that has been a big help. I feel a lot more confident now that we have it. It benefits me, too.

Safe Step had more to offer and their product was made in Nashville, Tennessee. It's all American made, and it looked like better quality from what we saw.

Also with everybody else we talked to, they kept taking away your options. If you want to pay less, you get less. So, we feel like we got what we paid for with Safe Step. It's expensive, but it was worth it.

Their reps were very thorough and they had materials and pictures to show you how the system looked like and they explained what the features were.

The two men from Louisville who did the install were very friendly and efficient and they got done in four hours. They put it in quickly. They've done this many times before. They knew what they were doing.

I am soon to be 86 years old and I can't stand in a shower. So, I thought that the Safe Step was the answer. I've been in it once since I've had it.

I have teenagers who are both 18 years old, and they use it regularly. To use the shower, they have to stand on a stool, climb over the top, step under a commode, and then onto the floor because the water will not go out.

It takes anywhere from 45 minutes or so enough to drain so you can open the door. Safe Step came here twice now and told me it's not their problem and to get a plumber.

I got a plumber and he said it ain't his problem, it's theirs. So, we've been fighting this back and forth. My son and I have been communicating with them. I've had a plumber out here that says it ain't his problem.

The product doesn't drain. When you take a bath in it like I did the one time to check it out, it took it 45 minutes to drain down to the point where I could open the door. I can't climb over the top. I am dissatisfied. It took $17,000 to get this thing put in and I can't even use it.

The Safe Step sales rep was nice, but the installers were kind of sloppy. They messed my floors. They tracked in a lot of debris from some stuff. They didn't wear covers over their shoes. My floor was getting dirty every day that they were here. Other than that, our new tub is good. I like the Bluetooth the best.

My new Safe Step takes too long to fill and I don't stay until it's filled all the way up and get a massage because I get too cold. The air is cold. What I like about it is I can get into it easily. Overall, I'm happy with it.

I have used my very, very, very expensive Safe Step tub only four times!!! EVERY TIME the tub has leaked soaking my bathroom floor into the carpeting in my bedroom and under the wood moulding! It is a disaster!!!

I was convinced by the sales rep that it would be a wonderful tub for me because I have MS and a degenerating spine. With monthly payments around $275 per month, I might as well be flushing the money down the toilet!!!

The repair people have been here several times without solving the problem!!! Do NOT buy this tub!!!

My Safe Step tub is good. It has a little problem with the door because there's not much room to go in or out. Other than that, it's beautiful. It works beautifully, too. I have used it a few times already. I like the fact that you can sit down there and take a bath. It's very comfortable.

We had a good experience with Safe Step. Everything went well. The salesman and the guy that did the installation were both excellent. The inspector came and inspected our tub today and he said that the insulation was excellent work.

I've already recommended Safe Step, and they've sold my neighbor one. As soon as they install hers, I'm supposed to get a check for $500. I'm looking forward to that.

I love my walk-in from Safe Step. We had one problem with the breaker, and their guy came and fixed it. It tripped. He had it on with a circuit breaker that was hooked up to the refrigerator and microwave, so he put it on one by itself.

Everything's working fine now. For getting in my tub, I can relax and put the jet bubbles and everything on. It's relaxing, so I love it. It has great quality.

Worst Customer Service in the world. Don't try to call and get an answer EVER. The salesman ordered the completely wrong shower and they tried to turn it around and say that it was my fault.

They now have a $3000 deposit of mine that I don't know how to get back. Very unprofessional company. Guess I've been scammed out of $3000. STAY AWAY!!

The door to our Safe Step walk-in tub leaked, so the guy repaired it today. I'll recommend Safe Step. It's just that the guys that installed it had to cut the door jam out.

They're not very experienced to put door jams back. I told them, "Just let it go and I'll put it back," but they went ahead and put it. Other than that, everything's all right.

We've seen Safe Step before and I thought it would be the best tub. I liked their sales representative. She was very informative and helped us walk through the process.

I was not that happy with the installation, though. The first group of guys that came out were fantastic. They walked me through the tub before the installation.

They put it on the driveway and had me get in it to make sure that I would fit in it. I'm a big guy and I barely fit in it, but I got in it. It was a little tight, but I figured I could use it so we went ahead with it and they did their thing.

We had a couple issues that we talked about that we worked through. At that point, we had a plumbing issue they could not resolve. I had to get a plumber out here, which I resolved in a day. I had the plumber out here on a Monday. He got done on a Tuesday.

I wanted the installers to come back out Wednesday to get it done. When I talked to the lady that coordinates the service, she said they couldn't come out. They would have to come back out a week later.

I understood that. But it was two different guys that came out. They had no idea what the other guys had done. I was not happy about that. It was like starting new with two different guys.

Those guys were professional but they had their own way of doing things. They installed the tub and did a wonderful job. They did not do what the other guys were going to do. They did it the way they thought they needed to do.

The problem that I had was that the first guys tore my door out. I have an older home and it has a metal frame. The second guys that came out did not install the door that Safe Step said they would replace if they removed the door. So, I was left with no door.

We had to go out and buy a door frame and install it ourselves. With me not having mobility, it was left for my wife, daughter and son-in-law to do. We just got the door. I just finished getting the frame molding on the outside. We have not got it done on the inside.

Also, as far as the tub, there was a panel missing. They were going to bring that out and get it replaced as soon as they came in.

Some young man called me. He wanted to bring it out early in the morning at eight o'clock. I don't get up at eight o'clock in the morning. It's very hard for me to get up. He called and woke me up and said, "I want to come out and put it on right away."

I said, "No. Let me wake up first. If you can come at 10 o'clock, I'll be up and moving. Any time after 10, I'll be up and awake. Please come out then." He never came.

Then a couple of days later, some gentlemen called and they brought one out. So they put that up, but we noticed that when they put it up, it was modified. They had cut a piece off of it, going around the top of it, like they were trying to make an air gap.

You can notice it was modified. For a $20,000 tub, it didn't look nice. So, I took it, flipped it around and put the cut piece on the bottom so it still had the airflow and you don't notice it. Other than that, they fixed the issue with the drain. The guy was very nice about that.

The only other thing about the Safe Step tub is the door latch. When you close the door latch, with being a bigger guy and having limited mobility with that, your legs hit that latch.

When you're sitting there, until the water gets up where you can get buoyancy, your legs still hits that thing a little bit. It's just a little bit uncomfortable.

In their process, if they could move that latch up just a little bit higher, that would give the end user the ability to reach the latch better, and it would keep it off of the legs and it wouldn't hit the body so much. It doesn't affect the use of the tub though.

I started having pain in my knee and my back a little bit when I'm going in the tub before I changed over. I decided to look into getting a walk-in tub. I'm getting older too.

My daughter will bathe me if I can't bathe myself, but when I looked into the Safe Step tub, it has a door. I can just walk and step in. So, when I want to take a bath, I don't have to have somebody so long as I have the strength to do it.

Safe Step's representatives were good. The first lady that visited me was very pleasant. The installation was good, too. I just had some problem with the electrical part of it.

The young man that came here fixed the tub but he didn't do the wiring. They said that my electrical box was full, so they have to come and make another one to connect to the tub.

When the young man came and fixed the lights for me, he didn't show me how to connect the tub. There's a part at the tub where before you go in, you gotta take it apart and plug it in. That wasn't explained to me. But after they explained and they came out to fix it, everything was good.

The tub is great! I love it. The first time I went in there, it was only for 15 minutes but that was really good on my old bones. That night, I slept like a baby. It was wonderful. I also like the shower. I like the massage it gives you. I like all that stuff it has.

I'm thoroughly enjoying my Safe Step tub. The sales reps were very efficient and quick. The installers were fantastic. They were very professional. I went into the bathroom, and they were almost done installing.

I asked them a question about a gap between the tub and the floor. They said, "Don't worry, we're gonna cover this." I've already informed other people about Safe Step.

Safe Step is very good for people who have issues with backaches or arthritis, and it's enjoyable. I like the jets.

My husband just has a little trouble getting in and out because of the doo, but he's bigger than I am. He has to lift a Ieg to get around the door. Other than that, our experience has been very satisfying.

The sales representative from Safe Step was wonderful. He was extremely polite and he seemed very knowledgeable about the product. The install team seemed very professional and did the job quickly.

The salesman from Safe Step was wonderful. He was very personable. He answered any questions I had. It's just that he has never called back since the tub has been installed.

The installers were very courteous, quick and cleaned up after themselves. So, I did enjoy working with both the salesman and the two young men that came out to take care of the tub.

I like the water jets. I like that it lights up. I have this vision of being able to sit in the tub with the jets going and I'll be reading a book. But that doesn't happen because it kind of sprays all over the place. It only lasts 20 minutes, and then it automatically shuts down.

There is one major flaw. I can only use it on the days when my back is good. I bought it for the days when my back is bad. The door goes inward and my legs come out too far. I can't shut the door or open it when I'm sitting.

Also, contorting my back to get out of it, it hits my belly, and I go into back spasm. That's a big deal.

My tenant is much heavier than I am but she's shorter, so her knees don't go way out when she's sitting. So, she's able to open and close it easily.

I wish there was an option for them to come in and change the door so it goes out instead of in. I don't want it pulled out because they had to pretty much pull everything out of our wall.

Safe Step should have a showroom somewhere locally, where one could go and just sit in it, and try and shut the door. For $16,000, I don't want to have to go into contortion to get it. Other tall people who are very slender have gotten in it to try it, and there was no problem.

Another very heavy lady has gotten in it, but she's much shorter, so she had no problem. It's not a question of reaching. The door handle is on the inside, so when you unlock it, the door folds inward instead of outward.

I don't even dare get into the tub other than to take a shower but even to take a shower, I have to shut the door. When I get into the tub, in order to shut the door, I have to get it by my belly. So, I stand in a crooked way.

I get one foot on one side of the door and I have to kind of semi-kneel with the other foot. Then I have trouble getting it by my belly to shut it. It's the same thing on the way out. Everything is in the wrong place for this tub.

Safe Step was a better deal and they pretty much guarantee the installation and any problems if there are delays or repairs.

The sales rep was very good and explained a lot of things that, if I would chose to do it myself, it'd be a lot more involved having to get a carpenter, a plumber or an electrician, than have someone to know how to install the Safe Step tub.

The installers worked straight through. They didn't even stop for a lunch break. I told them to take their time and that I wanted them to do the job good and correct. They worked.

One was doing one thing, the other one would jump on something else like doing the wiring from the garage to where the tub would be located.

I showed the lady where the attic is. I wanted to make sure they didn't crack the ceiling, and she was good at that.

Then they had this idea of rather than messing up my Dutch doors, they came up with the idea of just going through the closet in between my two bathrooms. That worked out really great.

My closet is situated between the two bathrooms, so they were able to go into one side of the closet and cut up a big opening and then replaced it when they were all done with sheet rock and installed the tub through the route of the closet.

I'm not happy with the Safe Step tub at all. It's supposed to be Safe Step, and my wife can barely get in and out of it because of the stupid placement of the handle behind the door. You have to open the door to get in, and then you can't hold on to that handle.

When she gets out, it's the same thing. She has to open the door, and it covers up the handle. Then she has difficulty getting up because there's nothing for her to hold on to.

If I had known how that was engineered before I got it, I would not have purchased it. I don't recommend it to anybody.

I love Safe Step right now. There were some problems at the very beginning, but it's understandable. They had problems with the computer.

They upgraded their models, and with the speaker system that they had installed on it, they're having problems with it from the manufacturer. They did come out and refix it. The install was beautiful.

The two guys that did it, Mark and Richard, were wonderful. The salesperson, Vicki, was very professional.

I went with Safe Step because of their advertisement, the reviews that I was seeing, the features and options like the wideness of the suite, and all the other features that it had with it. With the air jets, you could just do your feet if you wanted to. You can do your full body.

Our Safe Step walk-in tub is kind of hard to get into. I kind of think we wasted $15,000. Our kids also thought we wasted our money. I think the door should be bigger. If I was going to redesign it, I would make a few changes.

My wife uses it primarily, and the only time I'll ever use it will be this winter with the whirlpool and my hot water here in Illinois, but I got another stand-up stall shower that I use.

It gets a little complicated because this thing's got so many bells and whistles on it, including the music and the lights and all that going on.

My mom lives with us. She's 85 and now she's on a walker. I had a tub that she had trouble getting over, and I started looking at the walk-in tub. I didn't get any quotes from other companies, but I did call and try to do some research on Safe Step. They're American made, and that's the number one thing.

Their sales rep was good. He went through the whole thing, and I was pleased with that. He came a long way to see me. The installer did a good job. He was very informative. I tried to stay out of his way, but he would answer questions and do all kinds of stuff.

My wife has used the walk-in tub for the jets, and she likes it. It's good. I like the idea that it's lifetime warranties, but I understand there's not a lot to do with it as far as not having any problems with it. So I'm pleased.

The sales agent from Safe Step explained everything. So, she was good. I love the work done in the bathroom. My dad is terminally ill, so a lot of times, he's tired. It's best to get over there early in the morning, get him started, and he's good.

I took my dad and my stepmom in there and showed them how the tub works. It's just going to take time for them to get used to.

The tub is beautiful. I just think a waste is the overhead showerhead because the arm works so much better. You can sit down and rinse yourself off. You can stand up, bathe and rinse yourself off. Everybody wants the Safe Step.

I put a bubble bath in there for my dad and then I went to get some soap. I noticed when I went back over there, there was so much dead skin and oil just running around. Especially with no soap, it does a really good job.

When you shower the drain keeps on closing and you have dnn manually open it. When you shut the shower off. It drips for almost two minutes.

They sent a plumber. He said tilt the head. I guess I'm being picky. It only cost sixteen thousand and four hundred dollars. I really shouldn't complain. Not happy!!

Installation was ok, but after the sale and installation they don't know you. I have been trying for over a MONTH to get my tub fixed so I can use it.

They keep making appointments and I keep rearranging my schedule to accommodate them And they keep canceling at the last moment. I guess my problem is my tub is paid for in full.

They got their money so now to hell with me. No wonder I see their used tubs for sale on the internet. If you can not get them to work what good are they?

If I had it to do over I would go to a feed store and get a water trough and compressor. Would be cheaper and work just as well. Will NOT recommend.

The sales representative was friendly and knowledgeable about the tub however he did not know what it took install this tub. Installation was a nightmare. It took more than one day and it was a nightmare.

They taped down runners to my hardwood floors and when taking the tape off the tape peeled the finish off the floor. Then they wanted to run conduit on the outside of the house and we said we didn't want that they drilled hole in the guest bedroom to run conduit.

During putting in the tub they had a water leak thru the floor to the first floor. My house was full of dust and the noise was enough to give you a headache.

I do not recommend this headache to anyone. I certainly would not have done this if I had known this was the process. It is not worth it at all.

The salesman from Safe Step was very nice. The product was very nicely installed. I'm a little concerned about it. They left and I did not know if there is a temperature control underneath that doesn't allow but certain temperature of water to get in there.

I was going to call the salesman. He said he also takes care of any repairs. One thing I'm disappointed in is when I fill the tub up to get all the jets to work, the water is about partway up, then it goes cold.

I have a 50-gallon hot water tank and my son-in-law turned it on high, thought maybe that was the problem, but that's not.

Also, the tub could have been a little wider. If people are very big, it isn't going to work for them because it's not wide enough.

I had a tub installed in October 2020. Within a month, they had to come out and repair the drain. In May I began having issues again. Tub will not turn on 50% of the time and makes odd noises. Tech came out and said a part was either defective or installed wrong from the start.

Now almost 2 months later, it is still not repaired and is not useable. Every week, they tell me the part is coming tomorrow, Monday or within a couple of days. They tell me someone will call me back in a couple of hours. NOT ONE person ever called me back.

The latest...I was promised it would be here this Monday, someone would call to schedule the repair and given a tracking number to show they did order it. It is now Wednesday.

The tracking number does NOT exist! Waiting for a call back I know I will not get. They have left me no choice but to start filing formal complaints.

My wife loves our Safe Step. She has bad hips and she had a knee replacement. She's going to have to get both hips replaced. So, I thought it might be better on her.

The sales representative at Safe Step did a good job and the people that came out to do the tub couldn't have been any better.

The craftsman was Herbert, and his son was there also to help him install it. Herbert is an outstanding craftsman and when he left, I felt like I gained another brother.

They went above and beyond. Our bathroom is not like a regular bathroom. It has slope walls and I was a little concerned about them cutting the plastic to fit the walls, but they did a great job.

My wife likes all the features with the bubbles and air. I'm usually a shower person. I haven't used it other than a shower, but I like it.

WARNING!!! Haven't used the tub or shower. Afraid to because the install crew was inexperienced; one was an 18-year-old fresh out of high school, the other one was a 35-year-old former mechanic with no experience.

The lead guy had only been working with the contractor a little over a year. An outside contractor came in on the 4th morning, before they started caulking, and said the installation was not good work due to the large gaps in the acrylic walls and in the corner caddies.

You better talk to your salesman on which contractor will be doing the installation and not have them switch contractors on you. Let them know you want the most experienced contractor, even if you have to wait several months.
Get it in writing. We have major regrets on purchasing this tub and shower because of the install.

First let me start with commending the rep sent out to discuss the sales and installation of the tub, she was FANTASTIC.

When I set up this appointment there were 2 things that concerned me, one who was going to install this tub and 2 how much would it cost (ball park) I got hem and haw answers to BOTH questions.

From research I did online the price of one of these tubs with installation was around $10,000. HA...HA HA HA...the one year price was between 22 and 23 THOUSAND DOLLARS!

Now with a few discounts that price would come down...HA HA HA about 1% yea, ONE PERCENT...and that was if I agreed to order one THAT day. RIDICULOUS!!

Like I said the rep was very good, for her it was a 2 HOUR drive to get here and she showed up EXACTLY on time, looked over the situation, made recommendations...THEN gave us a price.

Safe Step could have saved BOTH of us a lot of time and inconvenience had the been a little more forth coming about the price.

HOW can you trust a company that will do something like that. So be aware if you are thinking about buying THIS company's product...as for me I'm done with them.

It was great first 2 months, then needed a repair. That was done within 2 weeks. Now...6 months in....it does NOT work. Sometimes it turns on, sometimes it does not. Who wants to fill it all the way up on a maybe it'll work? And How do I know it's safe?

Repair came after a week and said it needed a part. Round and round for SIX weeks with customer service, supervisors, etc. Every week they promise to come fix it and still NOTHING! I am to the point of wanting it taken out and my money back!

Safe Step seemed to have a better warranty. It said a lifetime. I dealt with their sales agent, representative and the actual installer. The interactions were all affable.

Installation went fine except we had to wait some time before getting everything in. When they got it in, there was one part that I had requested that they were not able to install.

I requested the glass enclosure and they determined that it could not work in my situation. So, they had to make an adjustment. There was a discount of about $100 because I was not sure what the component cost.

There was no itemization. I requested the jets, rain shower and glass frame. I did not get the individual cost for those items. I got the cost of the whole group. Then, when I had to change from the glass to the curtain, there was a reduction of $100.

They gave me everything they had except the glass frame. I have the water jets, the air jets, the heating and the handrails. I had handrails, but they took them off and they inserted their own.

I'm happy with my Safe Step the way I expected to feel. I am used to getting a soak in water because I have very serious arthritis. So, it is very soothing when I get in there.

At first, I wasn't used to adjusting the jets. They were very powerful at first and I thought they were a little too much, but they showed me how to reduce the pressure. So, it's working okay now.

I haven't been able to thoroughly enjoy everything though because there's still something wrong with the aroma. I haven't been able to use it because it's become unglued.

They need to do something to have it work. Safe Step sent someone here about a week ago who tried to fix that, but it hasn't been fixed yet.

It took me two years to decide to get the Safe Step, and I had to wait about six weeks to get the equipment in, and I paid down on it. I still had to wait a week to get the shower curtain.

I have to call the representative now because she went out and bought a curtain and rods because they had not sent it.

When she bought the curtain and rods, they did not have enough rings for the curtain. So, I complained and told them there were two missing rings, and I had to wait a little while.

There was a little bit of confusion or delay in the request. So, she felt compelled to buy it here and bring it to me instead of waiting for the delivery from the factory.

There was a little timing issue in the communication between the factory and delivery here because she wanted to let me have the curtain rods because I couldn't take a shower without that. She went out and ordered it someplace.

The request for everything I asked for came but because of the problems they had in putting in the glass frame, we had to change.

I took the time and had Safe Step come out. The guy that presented it did a pretty good job and that was something that I was interested in, and it seemed to have the options that I was looking for.

It was slow before the product ever got to me, but the people that did the installation did a wonderful job.

They were absolutely professional about it as far as coming and making sure things were clean. They left everything well done and cleaned up. So, I was very happy with that.

I've got a little bit of problem though. My hot water heater, evidently, wasn't big enough. But Safe Step kind of presented that it was, so we waited several months before we ever got the thing back in.

The first time we tried it, we run out of water. I've only used it twice since I had it installed because I'm trying to get squared away on this heat of the unit.

I have a brand-new 50-gallon water heater that was put in just almost a year ago, and I was kind of told that it would work, but it doesn't. So, we're trying the slowly turn the heat up on it to see if I can get it to work to give me enough water.

Another thing was, they did not have the shower curtain. I called in on that and it just arrived here this week. Right now, we're trying to make this happen.

When I started calling in when I was having the hot water problem, it seems like I couldn't get anybody to call me back. I left messages and couldn't get anybody to call me back. They were kind of slow on getting back to me.

The product is beautiful, but it's like a very expensive eyesore right now. Either I have to put another heater in or I find out if this one is going to work or not. But overall, it looks like that's what I want as far as something to use.

Everything was going good with the Safe Step installation until they ran into an issue with the corner pieces.

The gentleman that installed it had quite an imagination, because apparently, we weren't told that they couldn't order the correct size. So, he had to cut and he was under stress, but he did a good job.

At first, we thought we were going to have to wait again to order the correct size, but then, the installer was told that they don't make the tubs in the size we needed them, which unfortunately wasn't told to us when we ordered it.

That was a little downfall but he made it work and my parents were happy with the results of how he did it.

The only thing is the little lip thing that's on the bottom of the water doesn't come out. It would need to be probably a little bit higher. Other than that, it's a great shower. It's helping for what we need it to work for for both of my parents. It was a good investment for them.
