About Safe Step Walk-In Tubs

Safe Step is the premier walk-in bathtub and shower provider in the United States. What we like about Safe Step is how they include bathroom modifications, plumbing, and electrical work and installation in the cost of their walk-in tub quotes.

Safe Step Walk-In Tubs come equipped with standard features that other companies consider optional upgrades, such as cleaning systems and therapeutic devices. We’ve rated Safe Step the “Great for Arthritis and Joint Pain” winner in our walk-in tub buyers’ guide because Safe Step has the Arthritis Foundation’s Ease of Use certification.

Plus, every Safe Step tub is customized to meet the size and design needed for the project, ensuring an accessible bathing experience. The company’s tubs are manufactured in the United States, come with a lifetime warranty, and, according to company representatives, are the no. 1 choice by sales volume for the product category.

After purchasing a Safe Step tub, the company will arrange for delivery, installation, and hauling away your old tub or shower. You don’t need to hire additional plumbers or electricians to complete the project. However, upfront fees may be required to start construction.

Pros

  • Most full-service installations and removals take less than one day
  • More features than other tubs
  • Shower hybrid option
  • Financing and discounts available

Cons

  • May charge an upfront deposit
  • Only 10 possible hydro jets

Safe Step Walk-In Tub Features

While the size and shape of Safe Step walk-in tubs often vary, many have the same standard features.

The models have several key safety and comfort features to minimize risk during bathing for anyone with mobility issues. Users get into the tub using a side door, shut the sealed door, then fill their bath without worrying about falls, slips, or trips. The heated seat keeps users warm while they wait for the tub to fill.

Because Safe Step can customize its product to fit customers’ needs, homeowners rarely need to change the size or layout of their bathroom. Therapeutic devices are standard on all tubs, including the Dual Hydrotherapy Massage System and Chromotherapy System.

These benefits and safety features are the reason why people buy Safe Step walk-in tubs:

Safe Step Walk-in Tub Costs and Pricing

Safe Step walk-in tubs are an investment in the comfort and safety of the homeowner. The company was reluctant to share prices with us because, like any construction project, product and installation costs will vary depending on the size and scope of the project. However, we were told that Safe Step models start at $10,000 for the walk-in tub, including shipping and installation.

The company avoids quoting general prices since nearly every project is unique. To help make the cost more manageable, the company offers a financing plan with approved credit. Before choosing a payment plan, check interest charges and compare them with other credit-based options.

Safe Step offers a “Helping Hands Rebate” of up to $1,500 to help offset the lack of Medicare coverage and discounts for military veterans.

You can get a free quote by completing a form on the Safe Step website. For guidance on what to look for in the price of a walk-in tub, visit our walk-in tub guide.

Safe Step Warranty

Safe Step covers its products with a lifetime warranty on parts and labor for the original purchaser as long as a company representative installed the product. This warranty covers the tub (including manufacturing defects), door seal, faucets, water pumps, heaters, and blowers.

Specific exclusions may apply, and coverage may not pay for all service or labor costs for every repair. There is a two-year warranty on caulking.

Safe Step Customer Service

Safe Step provides customer service via phone or chat on its website 24 hours a day. For those interested in buying a tub, a salesperson will return your call within an hour or two, or you can schedule a time to see one of the many showrooms in the U.S. We recommend visiting one of these showrooms so you can test the functionality of the walk-in tub before purchasing.

Those who have already purchased a tub have access to the customer service line from the moment they pay their initial deposit. This same phone number will connect them to a representative for any ongoing troubleshooting or warranty claims that may come up.

Safe Step Walk-in Tub Reviews & Complaints

Customers report being pleased with the responsiveness of the service team in resolving issues with leaks or answering questions that arise over time. Buyers describe Safe Step walk-in tubs as a luxury in-home bathing experience without sacrificing safety. The perks of owning a bathtub come up frequently from customers with mobility issues, with some reporting a significant relief of pain symptoms from conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) rates this company with an A+, its highest rating. Safe Step has earned this mark by responding to customer questions and complaints quickly. Many of the reviews left by customers are specific to the experience they received at a particular Safe Step dealer and may not accurately reflect the service at another location or the brand as a whole.

The most common complaint received by customers is that the tubs and showers can leak soon after installation. It’s not uncommon for a newly installed walk-in tub to need adjusting after some use. Almost all verified Safe Step reviews mention promptness and professionalism in getting installers and service providers back to the home to make these adjustments under the original lifetime warranty.

Some complaints were related to unclear pricing guidelines. Some customers felt pressured to buy when a representative visited their home to measure the bathroom for an appropriate fitting. Some said that figuring out the total cost of various models and options was confusing.

However, most verified reviewers who mention price seem satisfied with their overall purchase and refer to the higher-end tubs as a worthwhile investment for their health and peace of mind. Customers compared the step-in tubs to having a private hot tub in their bathroom.

Finally, a few reviewers warn that these walk-in tubs can use more water than a standard bathtub and often require an upgrade in the hot water system to accommodate the volume.

I am still waiting....over a year later, for the contractor to not only fix what the "retired" Safe Step contractor screwed up, but for the 2nd safe step tub contractor to fix.

The manager is located in Southern Oregon. She is very difficult to deal with. Still have not received service. Very unsatisfied. Getting ready to seek legal recourse.

We have a smaller space that made it decisive to go with Safe Step. The fact that it's the number one certainly was added to the ease of making the decision.

The sales representative from Safe Step was very informative and not pushy, but he was a good salesman.

Because it was a tight space, the install took considerably longer than they thought it would because the installers had to do extra things and kind of change the plumbing and rewire because we needed an extra slot in the fuse box.

They had to come back and put an extra silicone in. The work quality is very good. They were very nice guys, and they were friendly and attentive. They were honest and hardworking and they also think that I was very patient.

Both my wife and I have used the tub. It is for my wife, but I used it first so that I would be familiar with the different buttons and levers and so forth. It was good.

The tub has very good features like the small bubbles thing and the micro thing. The seat warming up is good, the quick draining is very good and the control panel there on the right side is very handy. It was impressive. I would be happy to recommend to friends.

Safe Step's service was excellent. There was one major thing that I was quite upset about. They should get that whole bunch of white paint off of my wall. Those walls were custom-painted. There were colors. They were not white. Other than that, the installation was great. As far as the tub, I like the little bubbles and the lights.

The Safe Step salesman got a little bit huffy when he thought I might not get the product, but he was okay. The construction guys and the guy that came and saw what it looked like and what they were going to do were great. I was really happy with them.

As far as the tub, the step is very small. It's very shallow. You have to get in and close the door. If I weighed like four pounds more, I would have a hard time closing the door because it's very narrow.

The part I don't like about it is you have to close the door when you get in, turn the water on, and you have to wait until it starts to fill up and the water gets hot.

What I do is I turn the water on in my lavatory and get the water to get over here and get hot. Then when I get in there, it doesn't take that long for the warm water to start getting in there. You have to be in there because you can't open the door once you start getting water in it.

We did have problems in the beginning because the day that they were installing it, the door was damaged, so we had to wait until they ordered a door and wait until the door got here.

I have been waiting for about six weeks. The door got stuck in Texas because of whatever happened with the weather. It was nobody's fault.

Safe Step put in the wrong product. I didn't know until they had it all in and I said, "Well, that isn't the one that I ordered." They offered me a discount and I said, "Okay, I'll take the discount" because it was already in.

Then the company changed their mind and didn't want to give a discount. They wanted me to have what I ordered. So, they're bringing it on Wednesday. But I'm satisfied with the one I got. They don't have to bring the other one and put it in.

I like the jets on the one I got. They feel good on my back, my feet and my legs. I sleep better. Overall, I love the product.

I like that Safe Step only did the step-ins. Other people did not and they did other things. Also, Safe Step's warranty on the tub made a big difference to me.

The sales rep did a great presentation and spent a lot of time here explaining everything and showing me everything. It was a very complete presentation. He answered all my questions. He was very well-informed. He didn't hesitate on any of my questions.

My tub has everything but the shower. I use the hydrotherapy. It's very therapeutic. I don't really have any issues, but I do a lot of things around the house that makes my muscles a little sore. So, it helps out a lot with that. The jets and the comfort factor are what I appreciate the most.

Having the Safe Step now, I take a bath more often. I'm usually a shower person, but I had a big garden tub and I never got in it. So, this is a change for me and it's appreciated. You should buy one, too.

I enjoy the jets and and the micro bubbles on my Safe Step tub. The guys who came to install were very knowledgeable, very friendly and they absolutely knew what they were doing. The teamwork they put in putting that thing together was awesome.

They put out tarps before they drag anything in or out. They were very attentive to make sure they didn't do anything that would cause some damage to the walls. They were very aware of what they were doing. They did a great job. I was very impressed.

I was surprised they got it installed as fast as they did. They came in at 8:00 in the morning and were walking out the door at 1:00.

One guy was in the truck putting pieces together. The other guy was in the house, cutting pipes, setting things up and moving things around, so it would just slip right in.

They picked up the tub, sat it down and hooked up everything to it. They had absolutely no problems putting that tub together.

We've had the tub for about a month or so. It is on the pricey side but we feel like it's very much worth the investment. I've got arthritis in my back. I just had a knee replacement.

After working, doing any lifting on a particular day, my back is sore. I get in the tub and it takes care of it. Those micro bubbles make a humongous difference. I'm glad that the salesman talked me into it. I feel so clean when I walk out of the tub with those micro bubbles.

Safe Step really stepped above and beyond. I'd tell others to buy it. I would steer them to the guy that does the sales. He was excellent. He really made the sale more than anything else.

He was very concise in telling us what it can do and compared it to the competitors. I did look at it and researched it. He was 100% right. It's easy for him to sell those because the stuff he's saying is all truthful.

The price tag scares a lot of people, but having that thing in the bathroom is absolutely awesome. The only thing is they could have made it a little bit bigger, so my wife and I could share it together, but that's okay. They just need to come up with a triple-seater model.

I also like that the Safe Step came from Tennessee. We are very satisfied with our unit. With the other ones I've seen, you got to lift your leg pretty high to get in there.

Some of the other ones made it look like it was just an over-glorified shower. The whole experience with Safe Step was great.

We're not very happy with Safe Step. I made it a dry run. I got my knee replaced and it's gonna be hard for me to get in there and out. My wife's not that well either. We really thought it was going to be something different, but it's not what we thought.

The very first thing that happened was the shower thing got stuck and it went all the way to the roof. I had a technician come in and fixed that. It's kind of not too good for us.

I called the guy that sold it to me and asked him if he could give me a discount. He was the one that I talked to about the shower getting stuck up above in the ceiling there.

I tried to call the number they gave me if something happened to it, but they just wouldn't answer or leave a message. He got ahold of somebody, so they did send a technician to take care of the problem.

Then, when I talked about a discount, he said, "We'll talk about that later," but he never called me back, and I didn't call him back either.

The installers did cover the doors from the inside of the bathroom but it still got dust in the kitchen and the living room. But they did a good job with the work. I had a shower and a tub and they took the tub out and the shower and rearranged the plumbing and electricity.

We don't use the tub at all. That was a wasted thing for the money that I paid. We use the handheld showerhead, but not the one that hit the roof. That's the only one we could use. The big one gets all over the place and we have to wipe down the walls.

Don't buy Safe Step. The product sucks because it doesn't work. I wanted a Jacuzzi tub and bought it. I paid for it. They stuck it in. It didn't work from the get-go. Installers didn't know how to fix it. They've been back to my place twice, and they can't figure it out.

Now, I'm not in Arizona anymore. When I get back in November, I gotta call them up again and bring the parts, so it'll work. I'm frustrated with it.

The sales rep from Safe Step did a video inspection of the area, and then he gave a presentation with his light machine. Safe Step looks like a quality product. We have circulation jets that shoot the water out, and I have circulation problems, so I thought it might help me. So far, I'm satisfied.

We did some investigation into walk-in tubs and found that Safe Step had exactly what we were looking for. The shower attachment had an overhead shower thing that comes standard on their tubs.

We had a walk-in shower and it has a very flimsy stool in there, and my mother almost fell off of it a couple of times. So, the permanent fixed bench seat in the new tub is very helpful.

During the installation, everything was done in a very expedient fashion. I was wondering how they were going to remove the old tub, but they just smashed it into pieces and hauled it out.

My mother uses the tub for the shower thing. It also is a lower lip by almost half of what we have for the walk-in shower. So, that really helps her with getting in and out. I use the tub function about three times a week. It really helps with my arthritis.

I do have one slight issue with the tub, and that's when trying to drain it. I have to hold the lever to keep the drain in the open position.

I'm not certain if that's how it's supposed to be done. But since I'm the only one that is using the tub portion of it right now, I haven't bothered calling in about it. Overall, the tub has definitely been very helpful for both me and my mother.

The Safe Step salesman did a great job explaining things. He was good at his job. We bought the tub.

The installation went as planned. The installers did kind of leave a mess though. They left like a bunch of stuff all over my floor and it tracked out into the driveway. They could have done a little better job cleaning up after themselves.

We've had some issues with our tub, and it took a while to get them back out to take care of it, but the issue has been successfully addressed. The third time we used it, it was leaking water onto the floor. I left messages for probably over a week, and nobody ever returned my call.

I finally sent a text back to our salesperson. He didn't contact me but someone from service did. They got somebody out here pretty quickly. They replaced the drain assembly.

Service is really important to me, especially when you're paying that kind of money for a product. One thing that the salesman really focused on was that their service department was top-notch.

I was concerned that nobody was returning my calls or leaving messages. Nobody even answers the phone. It's a voice mail.

If they were backed up and couldn't get to somebody, somebody still needed to respond and set a date and find out the severity of the issue because we couldn't even use the tub for a week.

The tub is good if we could fill it up. We were told a 50 gallon water heater would work but it doesn't. The water only comes up to the middle of my stomach. I see many people complaining about that.

If I had been told that a 50 gallon water wouldn't work I would have had 2nd thoughts about buying it. And what are they going to do? Uninstall the tub or buy me a larger water heater?

My water heater is pretty new so I guess I'm stuck with a tub we don't enjoy like they told us we would.

WARNING!. The lights have never worked. The door handle takes a strong person to latch. The button on the hand held shower head is extremely hard to push in need another strong person to push it. The grab bars are slippery. They are not textured.

The on/off water handle is hard to use. You have to listen and feel for the click to know that it is turned off. The drain control came apart and when I stepped on the drain it stuck closed. I had to use my fingernails to pull it open.

The shower curtain, which I never received, lets water pour down on the tub and flow all over the floor. The cheap caulk did not last a year and water ran down between the wall and the tub into my basement.

My 50 gallon water heater is NOT big enough to heat the water the tub holds. The installers torn up my wall paper, sliced through my bathroom wall into my bedroom, and cut part way through a tile on my bathroom floor.

I have called many times and not gotten an answer except once. They said they would be in my area the next day and would come out. I asked about what time. He said, "I cannot tell you."

They never showed up. I have not reported them to BBB because I know from dealing with them in the past, nothing will be done.

The tub is ok but not all it was made out to be. We replaced our water heater to a 50 gallon but still can’t get enough hot water.

I like my Safe Step really well. I like all its features. I had to replace my tub and I just had been putting it off. Then I thought, "Well, I might as well get a walk-in now." The reps from Safe Step were fine.

The installers were excellent. Our bathroom is very tight, and they got it all in. They had to take the door out. They cleaned up after themselves, too.

The heater doesn't really heat anything though. The seat and back are colder than ice. They said to call them if anything wasn't working. I just had been too busy.

I've told most of my friends that I have it and I really like it, but that they are expensive. I could afford it. I suggested to get it for my sister, but she just can't afford that.

I researched all of the walk-in bathtub companies and it seemed like Safe Step was the best.

The salesman really went into detail, and because I had already researched, I knew. So I told him, "You could sit here and do this spiel all day, but I'm gonna buy one." He was absolutely great.

The installers were great, too. They were here to do a job and they did their job. They got it done a lot sooner than I thought.

For me, I like that it's easy when you get in and out of the tub. It's got a lot of bells and whistles that are nice. They're all good. I realized I'm gonna have to get one of those tankless water heaters now. I've already told others if they can afford it, they should get it. It's well worth it.

The installation of our Safe Step was pretty quick because the guys that installed it were in a town in Nebraska close to us.

They had an install for the next day and the lady cancelled. So, they called and installed ours about two weeks sooner than we were expecting it. That was a really nice surprise.

I like the tub. My husband doesn't because he thinks it takes too long to fill. He doesn't wanna sit there for 15 minutes while it fills up with water. But that's pretty much the only complaint we have about it. Otherwise, it's been good. We kind of appreciate the convenience.

I called Safe Step and set up an appointment and it sounded pretty good. The installers did really good on the installation.

As far as the product, I shower in it, but I really haven't had a lot of time with it. There are other people here that have used it, and they like it. If there's one thing that I have against it is when it goes together up on the top, there's a line there.

When you're showering, water comes in that and goes right down on the floor. I have to put a towel there or something to keep it from going on the floor. Other than that, I'd recommend it to people because it is nice.

The representative was very informative and did not try to pressure us into buying the tub. He was able to offer various prices and options. He said the microbubble feature is very therapeutic and removes dead skin. Yucky I know. But he did not exaggerate. It is amazing.

I have been in many spas but never enjoyed any as nice as our tub. Really love it. Although it was very expensive we are very very happy we invested in a safe step. I fall a lot which was the motivation for getting it. But oh my! It is so much more than just the safety it provides.

I would have loved this in my early adult years even though I never fell back then. If you are thinking of getting one...if you can afford it I recommend you get one.

I did some research and found Safe Step online. Then, I called and set an appointment and they sent a salesman out. When I first met him, I was very impressed. I really liked him. He seemed to be really knowledgeable.

Before we bought the Safe Step, I had American Standard also come out and give us a bid. American Standard told me that our hot water heater was not gonna be big enough. We have a 40-gallon. But the Safe Step guy said, "Oh, no 40-gallon is plenty big enough."

It turns out, he was wrong. American Standard is right. 40-gallon is not big enough. We are now having to buy a new hot water heater on top of it because he reassured us that we had put the right equipment, and we didn't.

I'm not really pleased with that. Either he doesn't know what he was talking about or he just lied to make the sale. But it is what it is. We already have a $17,000 bathtub installed.

Now, I have to invest in another $800 hot water heater and the worst part about it is we have to buy a specialty hot water heater because it's done in a crawlspace, so we have to have the short fat one. We can't get a regular tall hot water heater.

Right now, grandma's using the tub, but she can only fill it about half full. She can get up to about her waist, which is over the first set of waist jet. But she can't use the back jets because the water's not deep enough.

It blows water all over the place. And it's not like you can fill it partway and then give it a second, turn the water off and wait a little bit and then turn it back on and get it hot and then cold because you gotta already be in the tub.

Our only option is to boil hot water and pour hot water in there while she's in the tub in order to get it full enough.

I have not been really happy with it and I haven't recommended Safe Step. They do what they have to do to make the sale. So, I told other people, "Be prepared to not find everything factual."

I should've done a little bit more research. I should've gone into some blogs and talked to people on the internet.

There are multiple things that the salesman goes over that could be an issue. Everybody has their own little things, but what turned out to be my problem was the hot water heater isn't big enough,

They need to tell people the truth. A 40-gallon hot water heater is not big enough. It needs to be a minimum of 50, which is what American Standard told me. I chose not to believe them and I chose to go with Safe Step's salesman, and now I'm regretting it.

Grandma loves the tub, but we can't get full use out of it. The installation guys were really good but the salesman kinda turned me off from it.

The Safe Step tub is great, but they got a lot of things that they need to do as far as for the consumer. We have problems with how they measured it. We ended up accepting a smaller tub.

We had a check and I wrote the right number in the little square box, but I did not write the right number on the line where you write the actual words. They owe me money.

I've been trying to talk to them. I've tried to directly contact them. I've left four messages and no one has returned my call. So, I am not a very happy person. I don't even know whether they're aware of what they did. I need to talk to somebody so we can straighten it out.

Safe Step has a successful program. Majority of the people that they try and sell to, and do sell to, are older. The gentleman that came here was very polished. But they have a routine that they go through to try to sell it to you, and he won't deviate from that.

I was ready to do this before he ever got here, made the appointment, and he would just keep on and go step by step. I told him we wanna buy it, and he just wanted to continue. He was overselling the product. He did not need to do that.

Then he measured wrong. It came here after having to wait for almost a month for installation, and it was the wrong tub. I had to delay a day for them to bring us the right tub, and we had to do some modifications to get it in the bathroom.

But once it was in, the installer was highly competent. They did what they were supposed to do. However, they still say, "This is how you fill up the tub. This is how you do it."

We walked in there, he has the tub already filled up. We had no idea about the shower. He showed us all the features about the tub while it was full of water. He showed us how to drain it but did not drain it.

Then he took two hours after that to caulk everything. It was distressing because it took so long for them to do it. I was highly disappointed not from the standpoint that it took that long. But he didn't explain, "Well, it's gonna take me this much longer to get it done."

We kept going on. He sent his assistant in and sat down in the kitchen. I was writing the check, they were doing whatever, and I was not paying attention to what was going on. I got totally distracted.

It was a personal thing that we were gonna install it that particular day, which we did not. We installed it the next day.

The following day, I was going to have a physical procedure done, and I could not use the tub that night because he told me it took 24 hours for that caulk to set up. So I couldn't even use it when I wanted to use it before I went for my medical procedure.

My wife can't walk. She's in a wheelchair. I got an ad on Safe Step, and she liked the 4-inch step. We really liked the guy that came and sold it to us.

The tub had everything we wanted. It's more expensive than anything else out there, but that's what we wanted, so we got it. The quality is good.

Three nice guys came out to install. They did a good job. I'm not unhappy at all with what they did. We have a little bit of a leak, though. But we're happy with it all in all.

There was a tub in here and it was jetted. It was way tall and it didn't work. We've already got a walk in shower. We decided, "You know, it's gonna come a day when we need this." So, we got the Safe Step.

The sales rep was very nice. The installers were really nice as well. I'm not sure everything was true the way the tub turned out. Our tub's been leaking.

I got in one time and I had to climb out on a ladder. The water wouldn't drain. I was freezing to death. I had to holler for my husband to bring me the step ladder. He held me out.

I just had a technician come out yesterday and work on my Safe Step tub. Evidently, the tub has been leaking into our crawlspace. And I'm hoping that takes care of the musty smell in the house. So far, it has.

I can't give enough credit to the technician, Kim. She showed us stuff that I was never shown. She did a fantastic job. She worked here all day and she took care of everything that she could, except the fast drain still needs to be replaced.

Safe Step has always been the number one option. Once we saw that, and saw it in somebody's home, we were down. We didn't look at anybody else.

We had a pretty pleasant experience the whole time. The young lady that came and sold it was very thorough with her presentation, and so we were sold. We liked the way it operates. I thoroughly enjoy the tub.

The Safe Step rep was very nice. He explained everything. The installers were very good, too. They were very nice and very polite, and they knew what they were doing.

We haven't used the tub as much because we're still in the process of remodeling the bathroom and the utility room. My grandson took a bath in it the other night, and he loved it.

Once we get situated and we know we can just go in there and do what we want to do, I think we'll enjoy it a lot better.

The Safe Step representative was very good. The installers were excellent. They did an excellent job. The only problem I had was when the lights in the tub wouldn't come on after they left. I had to call to get somebody to get it going for me. But eventually, we got it figured out.

I like all the features of the tub so far. I feel safer using it. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have one.

Our Safe Step takes getting used to. If I was a fat person, I wouldn't be able to get in it. It's small, and my husband's six feet. But we got it to be safe.

I was sort of in a hurry to get a walk-in tub because my husband had had a fall and a stroke. It was not safe for him to step into a tub like what we had.

The gentlemen that were here putting it in were perfect. They cleaned up after themselves and we were very satisfied with them. They were very kind, courteous and clean. If I asked a question, they answered it.

We pretty much left them alone so they could do the job, and it was very good. Once they're through with everything, they demonstrated all the aspects of the tub.

I was a little disappointed in the jets because they really don't do a whole lot. But whatever they do, they do. I realized you have to fill the tub all the way up for that micro thing to work. So, it needs a lot of water.

Overall, it's a good experience all the way around and we are well satisfied. I would recommend Safe Step to a friend, especially to an older person like we are.

I would recommend to them depending on their size. The size of space they have to work in probably has something to do with the size of the tub.

My wife has had a lot of health problems. She couldn't get up out of the bathtub. I called Safe Step and another place and Safe Step answered first and they came out and I was satisfied with what they offered, so I took it.

The salesman that came to our house pretty well explained everything to any questions I had. I was told the installation would take about eight hours and it took them about four. The installers did a great job, and they were very cordial. They cleaned up their mess.

When we first had the tub in, it leaked a little bit. But I called them and they came out and it was the door that needed adjusting. They fixed that and it's working perfectly now. I like the shower, the circulation and the jets.

I would suggest anybody that gets the walk-in tub should get the shower. If they don't get the shower, they should get the shower curtain. It keeps it from splashing out. But it's great all the way around. Safe Step surpassed my expectations.

My Safe Step walk-in tub has been good so far. I like it. It's helped me. It's making a lot of noise, though. It's really loud. It only lasts for about a minute, then it simmers down, but it doesn't seem right.

Other than that, I use all of its features. I had them mostly figured out. There were just a couple of things I'm not sure of yet. I would recommend Safe Step but every time I mention the price, it scares everybody off.

Safe Step was great. The only little problem that we have so far is one of the panels didn't come with the tub and they said they would send it to us and we haven't received it yet. Other than that, everything's fine. I like the jets. We're very satisfied.

We are using our Safe Step almost every day, and the difference in our health is amazing. Casey has had neuropathy in his feet and some in his legs, the tub is improving the numbness in the short time we have had the tub.

This he has had for 20 years, getting worse as each year, he was at the point that he was not able to feel anything. For most people that would not be a problem, but Casey is blind and needs to feel his feet to walk, and also used for sense of direction.

This is the best money we ever spent, should had bought sooner. For myself I have RA, with arthritis this is so helpful if one of my joints hurt, or the weather changes every joint hurts, so my quality of life has improved and I am thankful.

The tub experience is a (5) excellent but exterior inspection panel is loose and poorly installed. The installer should have corrected it and the final briefer should have seen it. Therefore my rating is downgraded to (5) good.

Don't buy this tub. I've had mine one week. Wish I would send it back. It cost me $14,000. The jets are weak, micro bubbles serve no purpose, water gets cold in about 20 min. The seat is too high or the back is too low, because the water only comes up to about my elbows.

You see pictures of people laying back with head on a pillow. Haha, that's not going to happen, and I'm only 5'4". And the install looks like crap. I just can't find anything to be happy about with this tub.

The lady from Safe Step that came explained a lot of stuff that we didn't know and we liked what she said. That was the reason we went with Safe Step.

We didn't have a problem getting our tub installed. The guys came and had it in the same day. They were very respectful, they knew what they were doing and they explained everything. They covered the floor to keep it from getting dirty. So I was very pleased with them.

The tub is wonderful. We don't have to worry about falling and we can get in and sit down and take a comfortable bath and use the jets. It's really helped us. The door could be a little bit wider. If you're a little bit heavy, it's hard to get in and out. But other than that, it's okay.

I'm 73 years old and I've had a lot of back pain and I couldn't sleep at night. I saw this advertisement on these tubs on television. I called Safe Step and asked them, and I said, "Yeah, I'd like to have one."

I thought it was a good deal. I thought it was an honest project, but I'm starting to wonder about Safe Step. It's not what they told me. They've already installed the thing and it doesn't work properly and they haven't come out to fix it.

This was supposed to be a one day deal. It's been going on a month now. When they put the tub in, they said something in the black box wouldn't work. So, they said "Well, we'll send the work order and we'll have a man out here to fix that." That had to be a month ago.

I have people calling me from the finance company this morning wanting me to sign in the paper. I told them I'm not gonna complete anything until they complete their job.

If it's possible, I would just have them bring my old tub back and take this tub and do whatever they want to with it. But it's beyond that. I'm very dissatisfied as a homeowner, as a landowner, as a consumer, and as a disabled veteran.

I'm very disgusted. I can't believe when we're dealing with this much money that I got a company that advertises on TV, and they send me these deals on my computer all day long, and yet, their product doesn't work.

The sales rep from Safe Step was very knowledgeable. The installers were fast and they got the job done. It took a little waiting time to get the product but not as long as some people were. I put it in the other bathroom, which is a little narrow, but otherwise, it does a good job.

I wanted a walk-in tub for my feet and legs. I have feet inflammation, and my Safe Step helps draw out the inflammation. Plus, it helps my muscles feel better and loosens them up.

I like that my walk-in tub drains fast and the actions make it feel better and relaxing and I can tell my muscles are better. As far as how to do the button, I have instructions right on the wall next to me in case I need them, but I've learned them.

I'm 78 years old. I have arthritis on both shoulders, both hips, and both knees, and my wife does too. I'm a diabetic and I have lots of circulation problems in my lower legs, and getting in and out of bathtubs or showers is hard for my wife and I.

We called Safe Step and got a walk-in tub. The installers were great. They put it in and when they got done, they explained everything. Then, we were having problems with the drain system on it, and they came back and checked to see what it was.

They said, "Well, we're gonna have to order a new valve and put it in there." They came back, put it in, showed us how it all worked, and it's working fine now.

The one complaint that I have is on the finance company that they use. When we signed up on this, we agreed that we would pay a certain amount of money for 18 months and pay off the total amount of the bill at no interest.

When we first got a hold of the finance company, they said we were gonna have to pay like $256 a month, plus $220 worth of interest for 20 years. We argued with them and they finally agreed and they said we were right.

I called to get an idea of the price and also the dimensions. The dimensions (measurements) need to be in place when I hire an design firm and architect and create the blue prints. The blue prints need to be drawn up to submitted to the County Building and Planning department.

I can't order the tub and then afterwards find out it won't fit. I talked to a supervisor 07/23/2020 4:49pm eastern and she said the same thing.

But she kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain about how I am finishing up the blue prints next week and these measurements need to be submitted to them at that time so the architect can finish the blueprints.

They won't give me a price either, or even a price range to even have a rough idea if it is $2,000 to $10,000. Need to budget while building a brand new house and they won't help.

I had great experience with Safe Step. Their salesman came and showed me the difference between the tubs, the way it's made, the way it's put together, and that sold me on it.

Three guys came out for the installation and they were extremely well-groomed. They were very polite, and you'd hardly ever notice they were here until you see their working clothes.

They were really nice and they did a fantastic job. They started about 8:00 and ended up about 3:00. The workmanship couldn't get any better.

I haven't used the tub but my wife has. She got a stroke. She could get in a tub but she couldn't get out of a bathtub, that was why we went with them. Now, she loves it.

The only thing is my wife was told that she would get a gift certificate, but she never did. Other than that, we're well pleased with it and we tell other people about it. They said, "Well, I can get one cheaper." And I said, "You may not get it cheaper but you get what you pay for."
